Not sure it'll ever flatten out. Ok for my immediate purpose (temporary, during a renovation), but I' would have sent it back over the poor handling, not because there's anything wrong with the rug. It is completely washable with a hose and brush. I have cleaned spills and messes with soap and water and a brush and blotted dry and it looks new.

    I really like the feel this rug gives my living room. It’s transformed the room to a more modern bohemian look. I was concerned because my couch is pale grey velvet and the coffee tan is gold iron and glass. I put a round jute tray (Target) on the table and it pulled it all together! It’s been 2 days, it hadn’t flattened out yet, but I’m hopeful it will soon.
