This has been the only lip product i have used for years because it was so wonderful. Now with the new formula it is no longer the same product in any way. The smell, taste, color, and moisturizing ability is all bad now. This went from a five star product to a one star product. i would love to know the thought process that went into this change.

The old formula was UNSCENTED AND HAD NO BAD TASTE! An amazing product has been ruined with these changes. so many of the neutrogena products have an "unscented/sensitive" option - would this be possible here?? with the new changes, you've lost a long-time customer
Tastes nasty

The color (fresh plum) is gorgeous…but when you put it on you can taste it and it’s absolutely disgusting, leaves a medicinal chemical-y taste in your mouth the ENTIRE time. Would not recommend despite the amazing color.

I agree with the other reviewers that the change to the active ingredients leave the worst tasting flavor in your mouth because it’s inevitable that you get some in your mouth and it is awful and also I feel that the color wasn’t as as flattering as the old formula
Just ok

I bought this for the tint and spf. The healthy blush color was more brownish than shown in the online photos, and it felt a bit grainy. It did seem to last pretty long, but was definitely not transfer resistant. It was OK, but I will not re-purchase.

They have recently changed the formula (and packaging) of this product. It’s not nearly as moisturizing and tastes terrible (not that lip balm is for eating…. But some does get into your mouth during wear, and this new formula tastes bitter and gross). I couldn’t wait to wipe it off after applying on my drive home!
A mush have tinted chap stick. The best.

It has spf 30! Smells so good and goes on so silky smooth. Packaging is nice, and very few ingredients. I continually buy these and recommend them non stop.

I love/LOVED the old formula (octinoxate/oxybenzone) of these neutrogena "Revitalizing Lip Balm Spf 20" These protected my lips so well, looked great on, and did not leave a bad taste in mouth like so many other sunscreen products do. However, i recently(Feb 2025) purchased the newly labeled version of the product, and found the active ingredients have changed. These new formulations leave a foul taste in my mouth, one that is hard to get rid of and can ruin your moment! I am so disappointed. I am forced to throw away my newly purchased ones and will never buy it again. My friends, who like me were big fans of this product, have agreed its a bad change. So sorry you have lost many CUSTOMERS to this new formulation.

The only issue I have with the slip bomb is that I feel like you don’t get a lot for the price. But other than that, it works great! I love using this on my dry winter lips. Very moisturizing, soothing, and clean smelling.
Please bring back original formula!!!

Please bring back the old formula sold in the black packaging. It was perfect. People must have loved it; it was regularly sold out at my local store. Also, why can I only type in all caps? I feel like I'm shouting :(

I have been using the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm ever since I discovered it almost 15 years ago. The formula and packaging has recently changed and it is awful. The flavor and smell make it unusable. It now has a chemical and toxic taste, and the smell, which used to be pleasant and subtle is now very ersatz and caustic. It is now drying on the lips, and no longer provides the soft and gentle moisture that the original formula did. Needless to say, I am gutted, and I can't for the life of me, imagine why it was changed.
The new product is now horrible
