Unless you plan to use this bed for a shophouse...do not waste your money buying this bed. The frame is made completely from hardboard (pulped wood) therefore there is no strength in the frame and any pressure or weight dislodges the screws and breaks the bed. Its clearly a made in china bed and won't last more than a year. This was bought for our 15 year old son and he likes the style of the bed, but honestly for the money its absolute rubbish. Spend a little more and get a bed that will last.

This bed is nicely-priced, feels sturdy, and is quite stylish. The fabric used is strong and stands up to my naughty cat who wants to scratch everything other than her scratching posts when I'm not looking, so that's an additional plus! As other people have commented, it is, indeed, low to the floor. I was afraid I'd hate that more than I actually do since my master bed is quite high, but this seems to fit perfectly as-is in my guestroom. And I love that it doesn't require a box spring. I purchased one of those dense memory foam mattresses, and this works perfectly with it! The sides create just enough of a lip that there is no risk of the mattress moving at all. My only real complaint about it is that some drill holes were missing, so I had to bring out my woodworking tools and drill bits. The wood used is pretty hard, so expect to use some muscle when you screw some of the pieces together. (It was so hard, in fact, that in the spots where I had to create the missing drill holes it broke one of my drill bits!) I'm encouraged, though, that this maybe indicates it will be a lasting purchase! :D

This bed is very easy to put together, it shipped quickly, and it's true to size. The only downside, for me, is that it is very low to the floor. I was expecting it to be low, but not as low as it actually is.
