I have been using this lip liner for years. Lay Down the Mauves has been my go to. The packaging not only changed but so did the entire lip liner itself. It no longer glides when you put on your lips. The lip liner is heavy and very dry. The color is also different from the original. I am so disappointed that the new lip liner is different and no longer my favorite. Please bring back the original lip liner from the same company that made it. Please!

If you tried Bare to Comment years ago the color has completely changed. I have repurchased this many times but recently a change must have been made and Bare to Comment went from a Warm nude to a mauve. The color is completely different. The formula is good and lasts hours longer than my other lip liners but just sucks that the original Bare to Comment color is completely gone. It was my most used lip liner 💔

I've been loving the liner fir a long time, purchased about 20 of them today, I bought 3 more and noticed the package, and the color changed!! And formula changed too for the better actually staying power is improved however I really do not like the color change!! OMG why... I hate this Grey tone now Please change back to pinky tone of Bare to comment

I bought Bare to Comment and it's a beautiful neutral. I've not tried a gel lip liner before and as far as I can tell after a few wears, I think I really like the formula. It doesn't look or feel dry. So happy I tried it and the price is awesome! I'm light skinned, green eyes and high and low lighted 'blonde' hair.

For reference I have tan, dry, sensitive skin. The color 651B Bare to Comment is a great nude option for my lips, but it is on the dry side. In my photo I applied a clear lip balm over the liner. Without lip balm either underneath or over the liner, it leaves my lips very dry. Also, there is a fishy smell to this liner. I’m not able to smell it once applied on the lips, but I can smell it every time I remove the cap and apply it. This is a decent option for the price, but there are better liners out there. I’ll finish this liner but won’t repurchase.

It’s ok. Color is nice. Selection is limited. Application is smooth. Texture is smooth. No scent. Packaging average. Price is very low. Doesn’t last on wearing at all though.

I bought mauve color and the bare/nude color & these are fire. I will say the bare to comment one is lighter than the swatch looks, I’m medium olive toned & it’s pretty pale. Love the formula, it stays on thru eating and drinking and my entire work shift. So creamy

I used this in my grandma’s house and I didn’t really like it not because of the product itself, because it did have pigment and it was easy to use, just twisting, but because I think pencil lip liners last longer and are more easily used, with more control.That’s my personal opinion.

Did not last on lips at all. Within the first couple uses I noticed there was barely any product in the tube. To make matters worse, it would break off and/or fall out of the applicator with every use. Color and smooth/gilding texture are the best features of this product but execution was way off base.
