It helped a lot this winter. The heat really does travel upward to fill the space of the room. It’s a supplemental heat source. You still need another source as well but it will help you stay very warm even in harsh winter conditions.

Quit working after 6 months and about 2 dozen uses (if that). E3 code even though nothing blocking the vents and unit is spotless. Heater won’t engage. Now it’s just a pretty picture of moving flames.

This worked well for a little while. But then like so many other reporting on so many other websites, this thing push the button it flickered and then never came back again. Will not work from the remote or from the unit itself. There's clearly a defect in these models and they're still selling them to people like us. They profit and then don't stand behind them. Shame on you I would not recommend this to anybody! Save your money.

This is my 2nd heater purchase (June 2024). Set it up and turned on. Seemed good, I didn’t check the remote working though. This remote turns it on but nothing else. Contacting CSR to see what they can do.

Don’t like you can’t see the display of the temperature that’s open door to be able to change it if your remotes not working. Plus you can’t use the remote because you can’t see the screen because the door covers it.

I'm giving the Duraflame Electric Fireplace Stove two stars for only one reason: When it heated up, it gave off fumes that I could not tolerate. I gave it time and plenty of ventilation, but the fumes did not diminish enough for me to keep using it. It says in the accompanying materials that the stove may emit "a harmless odor" when first heated up. If, like me, you are sensitive to chemicals and scents, then the odor is not harmless. And it did not go away over about ten hours of use. I loved everything else about the product - the packaging, appearance, ease of use and heat production. I returned it reluctantly.

It looks nice but it does not provide the heat that I had hoped for. I had bought a cheaper smaller one that didn't provide enough heat. I returned it and bought this one for nearly 3 times as much money and it doesn't seem to be that much better. I am using it in a non-insulated space so I didn't expect it to be great, but definitely expected a bit more. It barely pushes heat out.

Absolutely delighted with both fireplaces. The cream coloured one is an exact match to my cream coloured leather chairs. The black one also looks great. My only disappointment was with Fed Ex. The driver left the heaters at the end of the driveway right on the roadside and outside the gate to the ranch on a busy highway. If I hadn’t glanced out of my kitchen window to see him drive away the heaters could have easily been stolen. Otherwise I am delighted with your service and your product.
