Description
Learning to ride a bike is one of the greatest memories your child will have in their life! Using training wheels does not teach your child the proper way to ride; they only hold them upright. A balance bike teaches your child to balance as they move. The feelings are incredible for both you and your child when they finally get it and you see the joy on their face.
The Bicycoo Mg, our third-generation balance bike, is no toy. There are plenty of cheap plastic balance bikes on the market that hit low price points. Our Bicycoo Mg is a one-piece magnesium frame. Not only is magnesium lightweight, durable, and stronger than aluminum, but it also absorbs 16 times more shock and vibrations, making it the ideal metal that gives competitive sports that extra edge. Magnesium is also the most eco-friendly and sustainable metal known to man. The rims are magnesium, with rubber pneumatic tires. The deluxe stem (gooseneck) and handlebars are aluminum. The Bicycoo Mg’s overall weight is 6.7 pounds, making it very easy for a child to control from the walking start to riding. The lowest seat height is 12 inches off the ground; kids can start the walking process early. The quick-release seat clamp is a small, simple but vital part; its job is to firmly clamp down on said tube to hold the seat post in place. Our seat post clamp does not require any tools, and it is adjustable as your child grows.

We have had the bicycle for about a month now my Two-year-old loves riding around the neighborhood. The size is perfect for toddlers learning how to balance in preparation for a pedal bike. It’s a very sleek looking, the colors are beautiful and overall a great product. Highly recommend this balanced bike over others we had tried with our oldest.

We have two daughters and they absolutely love their new balance bike. I love that the bike came already all assembled you only had to put the handle bars on. A feature that I love is there is a little thing that will limit how far they can turn the handle bars.

The BEST balance bike

The last balance bike we had was made out of wood, didn’t feel sturdy and it didn’t survive when I accidentally ran it over with my car. We had been eyeing this Bicycoo for awhile now and so glad we got it! The Magnesium frame is lightweight, sturdy, and not that I plan on running over more bikes but I’m sure it can handle it plus what I love most is that it’s made from 100% recycled material! Another comparison between other bikes and this one is that my son never felt confident with other ones but this bike as soon as he got on it you can see a difference in balance and speed! We are going places now!

Why did we get rid of the hand brake? This was the best feature on previous models.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the Bicycoo MG for nearly 6 weeks and have had ample time to put it through the ringer. This bike has exceeded all our expectations. With three rowdy kids we have seen a few bikes go through our house. This bike was nearly ready to go straight out of the box. That's a huge selling point for a kid whose anxiously awaiting something new. The seat is quick to adjust and all our kids (2-6) can all use the bike at a moments notice. This was especially helpful for the first week when our toddler would get tired on long rides and a brother could jump on the bike to get it home. The triangular pieces are great foot holds for lengthier down hill stretches when no striding is necessary and balance can be practiced for quite some time. The paint is bright and lovely and can take a crash or a few without wearing it badly. We travel full time and that make our needs a little different than most. Compact and light weight are a big deal to us and this checks both those boxes. We also need great quality. Our kids have fewer toys than many and the ones they have need to be study enough for constant play. The Micycoo MG checks all our boxes. Favorite things about Micycoo MG * Nearly ready to go out of the box * Light weight * Smooth steering * Bright durable paint We haven't found anywhere it's lacking and we would highly suggest this bike to another who's looking for a great quality balance bike for the kids in their life. My husband and I often joke, asking if Joovy will make us an adult version. This bike is a blast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this about a month and a half ago and it is my 3 year old go-to ride. She was afraid at first, but grew to love it once she got the hang of it (day 3 for us)! The bike came in a slim box and we were able to assemble in like than 20 mins (with toddler present). The seat adjust in case you have a trapper 3yo like us. The helmet matches the bike and she loves the helmet. We got this in pink.

This is a great bike and I would have given a 4 star rating but recently a piece of plastic on the brake disc broke and when I contacted customer support for replacement part, I was just told it was out of warranty and that they have no parts available for purchase. Not even a word of consolation or suggestion on what options I have. Would have been nice to be able to buy replacement parts but now it is unusable.

My husband has been too busy to assemble the bike for my two year old so I decided to open up the box again and try myself. I barely had to review the directions and my daughter was out riding it within ten minutes. Amazing! I love that it will grow along with her and it's so sturdy that I know she will use it for years to come. When she saw her beautiful new Bicycoo bike she said, "Oh, my gosh, Mama!" #parentingwin

My wife and I bought this for our granddaughter. The bike came in a solid cardboard box with the parts individually wrapped. The assembly instructions were clear; however, it was mostly intuitive and I put it together in about 20 minutes. The bike is very well constructed. Our granddaughter took to it really well and we're looking forward to watching her progress this summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to assemble - I was able to do it myself within 5 minutes. Immediately I noticed that bike felt really sturdy and I could tell it was made from high-quality materials (as opposed to some cheaper version I've seen). I absolutely love the modern, clean look of this bike. The air-filled pneumatic tires are another impressive feature of this bike. They provide a smooth and stable ride. There's an adjustable seat so it will grow with your child and there's a great hand-brake that's pretty unique to the Bicycoo - you don't see that on many other brands of balance bikes, but it will come in handy as your child ages. Overall, I think this bike will last for years! I'd definitely recommend it! Thank you to Joovy for facilitating a sample for my review.

Nice bike - CAREFUL ON COLOR SELECTION
4 out of 5 stars

Bike is nice but BE CAREFUL WITH COLOR SELECTION. The "White" is not white and the predominant color is black. If you select a white bike like I did for my daughter, you'll be surprised when the bike arrives as black, with white rims and color accents, but the overall bike paint will be black with a black seat. The "red" bike actually has white as the predomiant color. Overall my daughter likes the bike, but the color makes her look a little more tough vs. girly. If Barbie dolls were to come as a side item to the bike, the white bike would be for Biker Barbie, not Princess Barbie.

Great first bike!

We got this bike for my daughter right after her 2nd birthday and she was totally smitten. She's still a bit young for it since she's not super proficient when it comes to gross motor activities, but we wanted to start her early to give her more time to get the hang of the bike. She is 2 years + 3 months now and even though she hasn't progressed to being able to lift her feet up and truly balance on it, she has a blast walk/riding it down our street and gets such a sense of pride out of having a "big kid bike" like all of our neighbor kids. I can see her confidence growing each time we take it out. I love how lightweight the bike is too. My toddler can pick it up and carry it with ease and the pneumatic tires give her much better traction on our less-than-smooth dead end street. I love the look of it as well - really sleek, but still appealing to little ones. We love our Bicycoo!

Great lightweight balance bike

Their are a variety of balance bikes to choose from, what I like about the Bicycoo is the strong aluminum frame – makes the bike lightweight. I've seen wood and steel versions of balance bikes, but Bicycoo's lightweight frame makes controlling the bike much easier for kids in comparison to those other more dense materials. I had a friend recently tell me that if given the chance again, they would definitely choose an aluminum frame over any other. It was super simple to put together, it took Dad less than 15 minutes.
