It is not soft at all. I even washed it after I received it. Only a little bit better. Definitely not one I would want to snuggle under on a chilly night. However, the colors and design are great. Bought a king-sized quilt so it would hang down the sides of queen bed. It looks great on the bed.
Love this quilt. Light weight, Soft, Beautiful.

Laundered three times. Used for 6 weeks. No issues with shrinkage or colors running.
Too small. Cheap fabric. Color runs. Total disappointment.

Way too small. It really needs to be about 10-12 inches larger in each direction to be a king size. Because I laundered it before putting it on my bed, I’m wondering if it just shrank a lot. It will cover the mattress on one side of my bed but only hang over about 2 inches on the other side. If it hangs over to the bottom of my mattress at the foot of the bed, it doesn’t come up to the headboard at the top. It’s about 15 inches from the head board. It looks terrible and would drive me crazy. And it’s not like I have a really plush tall mattress with a topper. It’s just your basic king mattress. Additionally, for the price, the fabric feels thin and cheap. It’s more like the quality of a $30 bed in a bag quality. Finally, even before I washed it, there were places on the plaid backing where the red dye ran onto the light color. This did not improve or worsen in the wash. I’m returning it ASAP. I’m so disappointed I wasted my time in this and now have to waste more time hauling it back to the store. Ugh.

It has trees, deer, and some other animals on there. It’s very well made. The shams are also beautiful. It will be perfect to put on your bed when winter time comes around.

Heavy but not a killer for storage so basically nicely made. Feels good to touch making your bed the center eye piece of your room.

And it not only has deer on it but also flowers, peacocks, trees & birds. And on the back side of it is a red checkered pattern. And the two shams that it came with have two ties on the back.
