To Win a Prince by Toni Shiloh is a fun sequel. This is the story of the Queen’s friend who has moved to live in the island nation. Iris is making a fashion company and Ekon is enlisted to help her. Their unlikely story makes a wonderful story. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Welcome to the amazing African island country, Ọlọrọ Ilé. Iris, an American transplant, is best friends with the queen. Iris has started a sustainable clothing line, Aso, to highlight the talents of the women of the country, and to help lift them out of poverty. As punishment for being part of a conspiracy to over-throw the queen, Ekon must work as an advisor for Aso. Despite Ekon being pompous, self-centered, and selfish, Iris is drawn to him. He has lots of great ideas for her business, and helps Iris navigate the red tape for setting up Aso. Can Ekon survive after losing all his possessions, status and friends? Will Aso become a successful, thriving business, and really help people? Despite Ekon's lack of belief in God, will Iris ignore it, and pursue a relationship with him? Will Ekon's idea for his own business support him? This fish-out-of-water story is the second book in a series, but the tale stands on its own. I liked the first book, but this story is even better. It is hard to believe the Ọlọrọ Ilé is not a real place. This clean story is full of twists and turns, as well as, the character's faith that spurs them on to do surprising things. You will fall in love with this story, and hope there will be another installment. Fans of stories set in other countries, modern day fairy tales, or triumphing over difficulties will enjoy this five-star book. Bethany House has provided Tickmenot with a complimentary copy of, To Win a Prince, for the purpose of review.

A prince, a fashion designer, and a beautiful island setting. Aren't these what fairy tales are made of? But wait, there's so much more in this wonderful contemporary romance from author Toni Shiloh! There's also an inspiring and thought-provoking message in To Win a Prince, but it never feels 'preachy' or overbearing. I loved that Shiloh pays homage to the Prodigal Son parable, and reminds us of the power of faith, redemption, and forgiveness. Former Prince Ekon learns that there's so much more than living a life of privilege and he's also given a glimpse of the true meaning of sacrifice and devotion. Iris is a compassionate young woman who sees beyond Ekon's 'royal snobbery' and offers him a chance to prove himself! It certainly helps that there's a special chemistry between them, but can this override all of their differences? This is the second royal romance that Shiloh has set on the fictional African island, Oloro Ilé, and I loved catching up with Queen Bri and others from In Search of a Prince. To Win a Prince is a delightful book that you don't want to miss! I received a copy of this book from the author and Bethany House. There was absolutely no obligation for a positive review.

"Practice patience. Stay in the moment. Don't jump ahead in life and miss the now." I love books about royals and I love books with a good redemption story....and this newest by Toni Shiloh has both! On a beautiful tropical island country off the coast of Western Africa, a bright and bubbly American fashion designer meets a spoiled, selfish former Etikun prince with nothing left to his name...and they butt heads while working together to start a fashion house and learn about grace, mercy, forgiveness, and unconditional love. I loved Iris' completely idealistic, romantic first person voice. She was over the top, yes, but so full of life and passion and empathy. Ekon's honest and raw first person voice started out arrogant, self-centered, and unyielding but slowly morphed to reveal his true self - that sweet, endearing, vulnerable, noble core which made him a prince through and through. The faith thread was strong and Ekon's redemption is one to be remembered. Catching up with Bri and Mori was also fun. Iris and Ekon's story will make you weep tears of heartbreak and shout for joy at God's faithfulness and love. I received the book from the publisher via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

This was an endearing royal romance I easily fell in love with! This novel can perfectly read as a standalone, but it’s a richer experience if you read it after “In Search of a Prince”, where Brielle Adebayo is debating whether she is worthy of accepting the legacy of Queen of Oloro Ilé. Now it’s Iris Blakely, Bri’s best friend, turn for her Happily Ever After in this sweet and inspirational story that will make you sigh and swoon, and learn from the main character’s journey of finding their purpose in their lives. I totally loved this novel! I have to say I have a weakness for royal romances, but this one was especially compelling because of the character growth. I love to make the journey with the characters where I know I will be benefitted by their discoveries as well. The author has a special talent for letting you inside the characters thoughts and feelings and it makes everything so relatable. I found myself rooting for Ekon and Iris until the last page. Another thing that made the story relatable was that the characters were flawed, especially Ekon. He really messed up and ruined his future because of his selfish and thoughtless actions. Is he redeemable? Yes, this story shows us how God grants His grace for every single one of His children. If we only let Him into our hearts. Ekon was maybe a bit arrogant at first, but he was also humble, and open to change and improve. Maybe his goal wasn’t as selfless at first, trying to regain his title and everything lost. But as the story progressed, I found myself understanding how Ekon’s upbringing had affected him and turned him into the man he was. But he was a man that could change. And change he did. I fell in love with him gradually, maybe not as quick as Iris, but I fell completely in love with him. He was honest and gentle. Even if his story started less than honest. And Iris, I felt so related to her. I’m also one to give in quickly to emotions. That made her vulnerable, yet that made her kind and selfless too. She was a cheerful and positive person, had a bright personality, and I loved how she wanted to make a difference in people having a hard time. She wanted to make other’s lives better. She gave up her family to do this. And she was a true friend. I love how she comes clean to Bri and tell her about her attraction to Ekon. She didn’t want to hurt her. I loved their friendship, and how they had their women night to chat and relax. And they were always there for each other. It was a friendship sustained by God’s love. The plot was interesting with some twists, it had a good pace. I was captivated until the last page. And I loved the ending! I had no idea how they could end up happily together and they did! Loved it! All in all, this was a fantastic story I highly recommend! Sweet, romantic and very inspirational! I received a complimentary copy from the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a positive review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

An American fashion designer and a disgraced prince find their hearts at risk in this modern fairy tale. Iris Blakely is ready to take the fashion world by storm, creating a sustainable line of clothes to bring more opportunities for fair trade and commerce to Oloro Ilé. I loved that Iris got her own story as she was one of my favorites from In Search of a Prince, I loved her passion for her project, as well as her heart for others. I liked getting to know more about her and her family as well as continuing to see her standing by her best friend Bri. One of my favorite things was seeing Ekon's evolution over the course of the book, his attitude and heart, as well as perspective. I admired his willingness to learn, and loved seeing him try new things. A wonderful follow up to In Search of a Prince, that brings to life a different side of Oloro Ilé outside the royal walls. Strong themes of faith and redemption, as coupled with a sweet modern royal romance make for a nearly irresistible combination! You won't want to miss Iris's story in To Win a Prince! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, and I was anticipating this one, and I loved it! I loved it so much I skipped a marathon of my favorite show because I could not put this book down. Iris and Ekon were compelling and interesting characters and their story had me hooked. This is my favorite read of the year! I am looking forward to reading more from this author. *I was provided a copy by the publisher. I was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I loved Iris and Ekon's story. It was wonderful, inspirational, realistic, funny, and romantic. There were places that the unpredictable happened. Toni builds up a great world in Oloro Ilé, it makes you want to go visit this beautiful African Island country and meet her characters. Yes, I cried at different parts, I loved it though.

A follow up novel to In Search of a Prince, To Win a Prince is a beautiful story about salvation and learning to wait on God. I loved getting to re-immerse myself myself into the life and culture of Oloro Ilé alongside Ekon and Iris! This was SUCH a good story that was both fun and thought-provoking. Frustration, laughter, indignation, anticipation, all of the emotions were there! Author Toni Shiloh has succeeded in transporting me to another place and making me wish I could be there myself! This was definitely a top-notch contemporary romance, not to be missed!

A great follow up to In Search of a Prince! Can be read as a standalone, but a richer story when read with In Search of a Prince. I love the characters in this story and the growth that they both had to go through both personally and spiritually. Such a great story of redemption and forgiveness with a twist thrown in towards the end! A great read for lovers of sweet romance. I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
