A very inspirational read that about overcoming the odds. The proof is in the pudding that one person's act of kindness, acceptance, and generosity can truly change another's life for the better. You won't want to put this one down!

I was not sure what to expect with this book, but I read it in two days and was blown away by Peter's story. It is an amazing testament to God's providence in his life and Peter's willingness to overcome his past and care for others in need. You will not be disappointed!

Peter’s story is amazing, full of sadness, depth, overcoming, joy, resilience and hope. This is one of those books that reminds you what is important in life, giving you perspective, hope, and a challenge for how you can impact even one person. It is easy to read, well written, and thought provoking. I want to give copies to all of my friends.

A brutally honest story of Peter's childhood. It continues with his life into adulthood and how he worked hard to change his life for the better. He is an advocate for children in the foster care system and how life is as a single dad.

Peter Mutabazi shares his story, his childhood hardships, his tenacious spirit, his passion for advocacy with all of us in Now I Am Known. His dedication and commitment to the health of a child is clear but his story shows commitment to any relationship, cheering on anyone he meets (including me, the reader!) so they don't feel alone. Chapter after chapter, it's remarkable how Peter speaks to topics such as love, hope, forgiveness and charity, even in the story of how his mother, his friends, and his foster family never gave up on him. When the world can feel like a tough place to exist, Peter helps readers find the best in themselves. As a modern-day, true story of love, redemption, and perseverance, this is a must-read for everyone, including my teenage son. Just buying the book is helping the author care for others and creates a ripple effect of goodness in the community--in big and small ways. Peter helps us see that every encounter with another human is an opportunity to impact a life for the better. I'd give this 100 stars if I could.

Now I Am Known: How a Street Kid Turned Foster Dad Found Acceptance and True Worth by Peter Mutabazi reads like a novel but is true life and offers very inspiring messages throughout. Peter Mutabazi pairs up with New York Times bestselling author Mark Tabb and they do an incredible job of recounting Peter's horrendous childhood and path journy toward hope. Peter has lived through it all and has a powerful message for any human being who needs to be affirmed and encouraged. A wonderful BIPOC narrative from a Ugandan immigrant, a single Black father, who does not protest but lives his life as a protest to show compassion and vulnerability.
We need more people like Peter in this world
