Lands' End Men's Cotton Supima Turtleneck

Lovely soft feel. Superior to cotton t-shirt material. True navy color. Perfect fit. And all at $20 less than the manufacturer website.

I bought several of these turtlenecks for my husband for Christmas. He loves them all--substantial fabric, all cotton, soft, well-proportioned. A big hit.

I am a turtleneck guy. I bought two of these originally. Then wore and washed them before ordering any more to be certain that they didn't lose shape. No problem at first so I ordered four more in different colors. Then I began to notice that all these were losing their shape in the neck after a short time. After a few weeks of wear and wash the necks are way out of shape. Way too big in the neck. So now I have six of these that I only wear when I am cleaning the garage. I ordered a perfect size match to the accompanying sizing chart. Perhaps some spandex would have helped.

This turtleneck is smooth and nice looking. Unfortunately, I had it monogrammed and didn’t thoroughly inspect where the monogram would go. Since the neck folds over, I assumed the monogram would be placed on the upper collar when it’s folded. Apparently, Lands End considers this a “stand up” turtleneck so the monogram is placed on the top of the neck when unfolded. This makes it unable to fold over without seeing the back side of the embroidery. I am curious what Lands End would consider a folded turtleneck, since this one doesn’t fall into that category? Otherwise, this seems like a nice turtleneck, just disappointed with the counter-intuitive monogram placement.

Finally found a Turtleneck shirt that checks off all the boxes. Exasperated trying to find Turtleneck for women. So bought these for myself. Very good craftsmanship and I love how it fits me and the color selections. I am not a pastel female. Just bought my third one and excited to receive. I especially like the cuffs and substantial turtleneck. I will more buy later. Thank you Land’s End !

It shrunk a tad in the wash so I don't dry it. I stretched it out back to original size. I love the color.

I was wearing my original and realized they’re all 25 years old and fit and feel as if brand new but had normal wear and still LOVE them. I ordered 6 more.

Bought 3 in different colors to resupply my husband’s favorite winter top. He’s been wearing these turtlenecks for years, and as the folded edge of the turtleneck begins to fray he buys more and keeps the older ones to wear for construction projects. (It’s hard to convince him to put one in the rag bag!) This year the new ones had a back seam in the neck, which the older ones have not had.

These are the best turtleneck shirts I’ve ever owned. The neck isn’t too tight and the material is absolutely beautiful. Tall sizes are a lifesaver when buying online for me at 6’4” @ 205 lbs. nice length on back and sleeves!

I'm 6' 2", my chest is 44", my arm length is 24" from shoulder to wrist. My pants size is 38 waist x 32 inseam. I have a long torso with short arms and legs for my height. My normal shirt size is XL. For a dress shirt, I wear a 17 collar with 34-35 sleeve length from center of collar to cuff. The Super Supima XL Tall is a looser, somewhat draped fit on my chest and arms (somewhat looser than the fit on the models in the photos presently shown in the ad). The collar fits my neck comfortably, not tight, not floppy. With the ribbed cuffs, the extra long sleeve length works just fine, even for my shorter arm length. The sleeves match the looser fit on the body. The overall length of the shirt from bottom of collar to hem is 32". Extending to the bottom of my crotch, the shirt may be a bit long for wearing outside the pants but great when tucked in. No way that long shirt will ever come untucked in back. If you like a looser fit in a casual mens button-down, this will be perfect for you in a turtleneck. It seems to be meant to fit looser so I would not say the shirt runs large. I have a feeling this shirt will shrink a bit even though it's claimed that it will not. If it shrinks, it will still fit me well. As for the white Super Supima that I purchased, it is pure white as described, not ivory color which was a complaint of a "white" turtleneck shirt sold by a competitor. The problem with any white turtleneck shirt is that the shape and color of your nipples are going to show and that's another reason to go with a looser fit. A white t-shirt underneath will show through as well. The fabric of the Super Supima is nicer and softer than the less expensive cotton/poly blend turtlenecks I have worn. The Super Supima is about the thickness I expected of a turtleneck shirt, thicker than a normal t-shirt but thinner than a sweater. I like it a lot! I may order it in other colors but I'm very happy with the true white color I now own. I'll stick with the an XLT to fit my physique.
