This was an Historical Romance I completely enjoyed! It’s the first book in the “Sisters of the Rockies” Series and I’m already looking forward to hear the stories of the rest of the sisters! It’s 1837 and Juniper Collins and her three sisters -Rosemary, Lorelai and Faith- are traveling West to honor their father’s deathbed request: to return a special set of beads to a Piegan Blackfoot woman he claims saved his life many years ago. When the four sisters arrive to the trapper rendezvous -an annual massive reunion of trappers-, they find upon a disconcerting mass of men and lodges spread out in the Green River Valley. Who will be safe to ask for help in their quest? Riley Turner just wants to live a peaceful and quiet life off the land, but when Juniper and her sisters arrive to at the trapper rendezvous, he feels the need to protect them and help them out. Hesitant, he sets out to do the honorable thing and look out for them and he soon finds that his attraction to pretty and feisty Juniper may be deeper than what he thinks. But as they struggle to find the Indian woman -if she still lives- danger finds them at any turn. Is their quest worth fulfilling or will they end up returning West. But romance was not in the Collins sisters plans, in fact they had a rule about not forming an attachment to any of the men at the rendezvous. Will Riley and Juniper find a chance at love in the wilderness? This was a wonderful story full of everything I like in a book: a sweet and clean romance, great characters, adventure and a dash of mystery! I completely enjoyed it and look forward to reading the story of each sister getting their HEA. The writing was very well done, not particularly fast paced, but not dragging. The mystery kept me wanting to read more to know how it would solve at the end. The description of the scenery was vivid and I felt in the middle of the Wyoming wilderness, with all its beauty and danger. The characters were the best part: the sisters are all relatable and lovable, each so different and unique. I felt particularly related to Rosemary, the oldest, as I am the oldest of five siblings and have that protective nature as well. Can’t wait to read her story! Juniper was feisty and brave, with a kind spirit. I liked the bond between the four sisters, looking out for each other, all of them courageous in setting out to the unknown to fulfill their father’s deathbed wish. There is a problem, and I loved the part where they all established the rule that they wouldn’t fall in love with a man in the West as their plans after fulfilling their mission were to return East to restart a horse farm. Will Juniper be the first to break the rules? Riley was a great hero, I loved his integrity, his kindness and protective nature. I loved the romance, it was sweet and endearing. There’s also a faith thread about trusting God that enlightened me. I love when they feely talk to the Lord about their troubles. I think this is a fantastic start to a promising series! I highly recommend it! The perfect read for fans of Christian Western Historical Romance! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Publisher but wasn’t required to post a positive review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.
Sweet Western Romance

Sweet western romance with a little mystery and danger to keep the pages moving! Perfect if you like: Sisterly bonds Steady-paced historical fiction Character-driven stories Slow, clean romance Wilderness and open country 1830s American West Faith thread What it's about: Four sisters travel West to attend a trapper rendezvous. They intend to honor their father’s deathbed wish by searching for a Blackfoot woman who saved their father’s life many years ago. As you can imagine, it’s not exactly safe for single, unaccompanied women to be in the middle of the Wyoming area wilderness, surrounded by danger and disorderly men. Reluctantly, one trapper takes it upon himself to look out for the women. While he helps them with their search, he finds himself falling for the feisty, bold sister who also happens to be the prettiest. One problem: the sisters have promised to keep from forming an attachment to any man during their travels since they have plans to go back East and restart a horse farm. Which sister will face the heart-breaking dilemma of keeping or breaking her promise? Reflections: I like that the sisters have such distinct personalities. I probably relate to Rosemary the most - the oldest who’s protective and takes charge. She is also very wise, so I don’t mind being like her at all. Always like honorable male characters, and Riley Turner certainly fits the bill. The mystery surrounding the elusive Blackfoot woman and the disappearance of horses in the the surrounding area kept me wanting to find out more. Great start to a series featuring sisters. I received a paperback ARC for review. All opinions are my own.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous was a delightful surprise! I’d never heard of the actual historical Rendezvous and loved being introduced to some interesting facts of history through this novel! Juniper and her sisters were so fun to read about and, growing up in a family with a lot of sisters myself, I found it rather entertaining to compare the interactions between them with the experience I have with my own sisters. So much fun! Riley and his crew of friends were just as exciting to get to know as well! Ms. Beller never fails to create a diverse array of intriguing characters, relationships you can’t help but care about, danger and adventure that keeps you on your toes and a happily ever after worth rooting for!

Another great book by this author. I really enjoyed this historical fiction book and as usual it is filled with adventure and of course there is romance. I loved the story of the four sisters fulfilling their father's last request to return a special item to a Piegan Blackfoot woman who saved his life a long time ago. But where to find her, that is no easy task, if even possible at all. This was a Christian fiction which I totally enjoy. I enjoyed the love and caring that the sisters gave to one another. Thanks to the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Imagine setting out for the west in 1837 hoping to find a Native lady that saved your father’s life 20 years earlier. That is the task set before the four sisters - Rosemary, Juniper, Lorelei and Faith. Just getting to the rendezvous must have been an adventure all its own. But how to find Steps Right? This lovely story starts us out on a new series, Sisters of the Rockies, one you certainly will not want to miss. From a coyote pup to rattlesnakes, the dangers are many but the search goes on. In the vast area called the Rockies, is it even possible to find one woman? Will these sisters survive the charge they have been given? An early copy was received through Baker Publishing Group, Bethany House Publishers and NetGalley. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

Are you ready for an amazing adventure to the Green River Valley in 1837? Well hang on to your saddle and grip the reins as you might lose you cowboy hat on this rendezvous. Ms Beller has outdone herself on book one in the new Sisters of the Rockies series. She has an amazing writing style that is so descriptive you feel like you are part of the story. The characters are real and you will fall in love with these four sisters who are brave enough to travel to the wilderness to fulfill their father’s last wish. Riley is a perfect hero to be their guide and protector on this quest and romantic sparks begin to fly to keep you engrossed. A little mystery surrounds their endeavor as questions are asked and several surprises have you turning pages quickly. I think I just found my new favorite book by this author and I can’t wait for book two. Move this to the top of your must read pile. One of my favorite reads so far this year. I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
