Berber Shag BER219 Power Loomed Area Rug - Safavieh

The lighting made this carpet look dirty from a far. I had to return.

I bought a 5’3 x 7’7 rug and a 5x7 rug(which was not listed as an option in the color) arrived. There is a $10 difference in priced, so i paid for a larger rug and received a smaller one. Total rip off.

I hoped it would be a little thicker but it'll do. Also it slides so I brought a pad to go under it. Also it is supposed to be gray and ivory BUT there are streaks of blue mixed in. I was not expecting that.

The rug is a beautiful pattern and I love the colors. I have not yet had this rug 1 year. The pile of the rug has become matted down and very dingy in appearance. Even after you vacuum it, it still appears worn and old. At first I was recommending this rug and brand to all my family and friends (even had a few listen to my suggestion and buy one) because I was so happy with the purchase. But now after having spent so much money on it and not even to get 1 year use out of it I would not recommend it to anyone. We have rotated the rug in an attempt to have the high traffic areas spread out. Still no good. Do not use your money on this. If you are looking for something long term in a high traffic area pay more money for something nicer. Lesson learned for me. Look at the pictures I included to see the worn areas.

3 days later, still waiting for wrinkles to smooth. tried steam and wet towels. didn't help much. Rug was also about 5 inches smaller than listed, which caused me to have to move the Rug over and purchase a runner to make up the difference, so covering more floor than I had planned. The Rug is very soft, which I like.

I think the rug is ok, but it doesnt match the picture. I ordered the gray/tan version but in person it looks light beige/gray/light blue. I am returning because it doesnt match colorwise for me. Otherwise it’s cute and doesnt have the ordor as others mentioned.

Would not recommend in high traffic area, looks dirty and matted even though I vacuum every day and we don’t wear shoes in the house. Only lasted 10 months before now replacing.

It’s too thin…definitely not middle piled.

Very deceiving. The pictures make it look like sort of a shag, it definitely is not. The rug is very thin and flimsy therefore making it very easy to move put of place. Also there is a very strong small out of the package. I hope that after about a week or so it goes away. Would not recommend unless it will be sitting on carpet.

Pretty rug but doesn’t hold up well and gets matted even with daily vacuuming. Didn’t last 6 months.

The "chemical" rug smell doesn't last more than one day. It gets volume just by running your fingers through it. It is great!

Perfect, exactly what i needed

I’ve had the rug a little over a year and it has not held up well. At first it was a gorgeous, soft rug. But, after being in a high traffic area for over a year, it is a matted and tangled mess! I vacuum every day and we don’t wear shoes in our house. I’m currently looking to replace this rug. I’d pass on this one, especially if you plan to use it in a busy room like a living room.

This rug is attractive and very soft, however, the smell does not go away. We currently have owned this rug for 5 months, and it still smells toxic. At first we just thought it was new rug smell, and tolerated the smell even when in other rooms. Now that it's been so long, and as soon as you stand on or near it the odor is still there. Disappointed with product and that it has been too long to return.

It’s a nice rug and price was good for the size. Although it is a short shag type it is not cushioned in anyway (very thin) and we ended up putting a 1/2 rug pad under it.

Rug is beautiful. It is more blue than it looks in the product's photos. The colors compliment my living room perfectly. Not sure why people are complaining about the thinness and the smell; it's no thinner than any other rug I've had at the same price point, and smells just like any other new rug. I put a non-slip rubber pad underneath and it's perfectly fine. Got it on sale for $100 for a 5x7 - with that being said, I wouldn't spend more money on this.

This rug was so thin and inferior. We vacuumed it several times to get it fluffier but it never happened. Also you can see the backing it was so sparse.

The rug is very soft, and fits my room perfectly. Arrived in good condition pretty quickly. Had to weigh down the edges a bit, but to be expected.

Yes, -it smells pretty strong for quite awhile -it’s much bluer than the picture -it’s pretty thin and you can definitely feel the backing -BUT It’s really pretty and soft (fuzzy, not thick) I do love the way it looks and wanted to buy another for my bedroom, but I paid $225 for an 8x10, which I think is way too much for the quality. Now it’s $260 and I’m definitely not paying that. It’s not worth that at all. ☹️

Got a 2x2' for rug for vanity sink. Fits perfect. Just thought would be a diff color I guess. More mixed with brown and not so blended in person. Not comfy under feet really. Does what i bought it for at a super good price.. think it was 10 bucks when I got it.
