hauck Alpha+ Grow Along Wooden High Chair Seat

I've been using this chair with my child for two months and I'm at a breaking point. The positioning is terrible and he always ends up with his butt sliding forward so that he is reclined. We've tried with a tray, without, with a cushion, and nothing is working.

This high chair was purchased for us from our registry. Although we didn’t spend our own funds on it, I was still included to share our thoughts in order to help other parents. The high chair seems to be well made, sturdy and is certainly less of an eyesore in our dining room than many of the other options out there. However, the back of the high chair is reclined at a decent angle which ultimately causes a choking hazard. Over the past several months of starting solids with our baby we have had to prop towels behind her in order to get her into an upright position. To be clear, she is normally able to sit up fully on her own - this is a flaw in the design of the chair. I now know that babies should always be at 90/90 when eating and that is impossible in this high chair without modification. I don’t know how this high chair is on the market. I could never recommend that anyone purchase for their baby, though it is possible it would work better for an older child. I have never written a review before but felt this info was too important not to share. We now have the mockingbird high chair and highly recommend.

Addon tray has no manual for customer to know how to install, and installing an addon requires a full disassembly to install. Would not recommend for such an incomplete care of the product

Didn't receive the tray table with the high chair. It clearly states it comes with one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hauck Alpha+ grow along wooden highchair seat has a nice modern look. It is much more stylish than a regular highchair and not as bulky. I like that it includes safety straps to safely buckle my son. Assembly was a little challenging and took me longer than expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chair was very easy to assemble and I like that I am able to use it for both my baby as she is starting solids and my toddler if needed. It is a very versatile chair and very comfortable even without a cushion. I like the ergonomics of it and that it provides the 90-90-90 angle for my baby who is starting solids. The only downside is that I wish the foot rest were more easily adjustable without removing the screws. That being said, that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loves this chair. Even his older sisters who are 5 and 3 want to sit in it. We were at our wits end trying to get our son to sit in his previous high chair and we switched him to just a booster attachment for chairs, but that wasn’t to his liking either. It may be the fact that his feet are touching a solid surface rather than dangling. The chair was very easy to assemble and I like that it can grow with him. He thinks it’s pretty comfortable based on the picture.

The versatility of the chair to use it as they grow is a great plus that other chairs don't have. It also doesn't hurt that the chair looks really good as well.

It fits perfectly with my kitchen decor and even in my dining room. I hope to also use it for my little one’s birthday cake pictures. The color and set up is just perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 1.5 year old is very independent and wants to do everything that his big sister does, including sitting at the table. Meal time had become a big hassle because he just refused to sit in a typical high chair. We got this chair and it has been amazing. First, it’s super easy to put together and can be used in a variety of ways from little ones up to adults. We have it set up as a high chair without the tray and my son can climb into the chair on his own and is at the perfect height at the table. Also, I think having something to rest his feet on has been great as his other chair didn’t have that. The seat is wide enough that him and his sister (8 year old) can fit with a bit of a squeeze. Even mom and dad can halfway fit next to him. The construction of the chair is solid and it looks super nice at our table (both are white). It also wipes clean really easily. Kids had Mac n cheese tonight and while I had to scrub the table to get the yellow off, it wiped right off the chair even though noodles were sitting on it and getting smashed in the whole time. Also, the harness slides on the top straps so they can easily move around. My son thinks he needs to push the chair all around so we also strap the harness to the table leg when he’s done eating and it keeps him from being able to move it. Honestly, I just wish I had gotten this chair sooner, it really is great.

It was important to me to find a wood high chair, so we could keep using this for future children. I also had to make sure it came with a foot rest for my child .It’s not only safe, but the design and color is beautiful!
