I bought this table for my apartment. I am well under the weight limit for the chairs (at least 50 pounds under) and while I was eating dinner, the chair snapped while I was sitting in it. The only way I was able to sit in it after it broke was by gluing it back together. Very disappointed

I was hesitant about getting this product for fear that it woudl look too cheap, but I am pleasantly surprised! It is actually rather sturdy and it looks nice. It is a small table but it is not tiny and it looks great in my apartment which is ample (I just wanted something small). The chairs are definitly for someone small. I am 5'2 and about 130 lbs and they are great, but I don't think they would be comfortable for someone who is big as the seats are rather narrow. The main thing I dislike is that the surface of the wood is easily scratchable. Everything had small scratches when I unpacked it. The bench top in particualr was scratched enough for a replacement. Unfortunatly, I got it in November and had to travel unexpectedly, so wasn't able to asemble it till now, so I don't think I can get a replacement because so much time has passed. Anyway, I wanted to write the review to let people know it is actually pretty cute and sturdy. We'll see how it goes as time goes by, but besides the scratches, I am glad I got it.
