Women's Long Sleeve Maxi Sweater Dress - A New Day™ Black/Cream Striped

I am 5’5” 145. I originally bought XS, but returned for a small. It is true the dress is not flattering and probably cheaply made! But I don’t care because it’s cute!! I wore with sneakers. I snipped the slip so it isn’t attached to dress…it’s much easier to get on in two layers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty long sleeve maxi dress by A New Day. I am wearing size medium. Depending on the style I will sometimes wear a size small in dresses but a medium felt right for this one. The fabric is very stretchy which is great, however it is very thin. Undergarment lines felt visible to me so I would prefer some kind of shape wear underneath or a jacket over top. I would also not describe this as a sweater dress. Although the fabric is knit, it is so thin that it does not feel like a sweater. The maxi length was great. I received an incentive to write this review.

I loved the soft feeling of the material. I also loved that there was a collar to the dress . The three-quarter length of the dress is very unique. This is a perfect dress to wear over a swimsuit. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dress in size S fit true to size. It is pretty fitted and definitely shows all your curves and bulges. It was near maxi length on me hitting to just at the ankles. It was Vneck collar in front. The material was medium weight and pretty soft to the touch. The striped design is not too flattering. The fit wasn’t too forgiving and didn’t like the look of the design. For reference I’m 5’4” and measure at 32-28-38. I received an incentive to write this review.

Fabric is very thin and fragile. Got a pull on the sleeve as i was trying it on, very clingy and unflattering aswell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This size XS Maxi sweater dress fits my 5’3 smaller frame pretty well! My measurements at the time of this review are C31 W27 H34 and weight around 120lbs. The v-neck of the the dress dipped down a bit too low for my taste. A also didn’t love the collar, made it look more like a shirt than a dress. The material was substantial and felt good on, and I like that it had an under layer. It moved well and felt soft. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this dress, it was the cute “old money style” that is so popular these days. Sadly it fell short of expectations. It was EXTREMELY staticky and had an attached slip that kept riding up when I walked in it. It clung in all the wrong places and the size small was extended long on me, and fit awkward. Perhaps it was the material or the slip that made this dress so unflattering, but I was sincerely disappointed. I received an incentive to write this review.

This casual shirt dress is adorable and I loved it so much on the mannequin that I bought it without trying it on. Unfortunately it doesn’t look great on my body type (I’m slender but hippy) however it would look amazing on someone with slightly fewer curves than I have. It’s lined to the knee - nice! - and hits about mid calf, just like in the picture. I’d have kept it if it wasn’t clingy. Really nice for the price point.
