Description
The Spode Blue Room Mugs are inspired by archival Spode designs but have been updated in a larger capacity for today. Created by a process that is over 200 years old, these intricate illustrations were carved on to a copper plate, then eventually transferred on to the ceramic piece and finished with a glaze to protect the design. Made in China. The Blue Room collection is named for the display room at the Spode factory where a wide assortment of blue and white transferware in archival patterns was exhibited. The Greek mug features a greek key design. Crafted out of fine porcelain. Generously sized at 16 ounce, this mug mixes beautifully with any blue and white tableware.
