Q&A(20)

Q: Can you put beaten eggs in circle for scrambled eggs?

submitted by Anthea - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes you can put a scrambled egg in it. I put one in a measuring cup added my seasoning and poured it in when it was ready. Delicious!

    submitted bypnscott96 - 7 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use scrambled eggs, you would just want to be careful not to overfill the container.

  • A: Yes you can, just need to be sure you don't overfill. 1st time I used mine was with beaten eggs (were prepped for omelettes), I did notice you may have to push the egg through with pre-beaten tho.

submitted byChris - 2 years ago
  • A: I don't think you can. The egg turns 'solid' within the ring so assuming the same would happen if the eggs were scrambled. I will say it's the best egg sandwich machine I've had. I use it all the time and have purchased multiple more for gifts.

submitted byjv - 7 years ago
  • A: Of course you can! It's a raw egg whether you scramble it or not. The machine doesn't care. I crack it directly onto the little plate and give it a light scramble with a fork.

Q: Can you use liquid egg whites or egg beaters?

submitted by RoBethel - 4 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. Yes, you may use egg whites in this Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwhich Maker. We do not recommend the use of store bought liquid eggs.

  • A: Absolutely! Been using egg beaters for over a year now. Watching my Cholesterol.

submitted byDonqy - 10 months ago
  • A: Absolutely! I was watching my Cholesterol and switched to eggbeaters. Don’t fill it up though, I also precook home fries and keep them refrigerated. Then microwave a couple tablespoons full to preheat them and add those into the egg as well. Cook for 3 minutes, add the top muffin & 2 more minutes.

  • A: A friend of mine buys several dozen pasture eggs at a time, wisks them together in groups of 6 jumbo eggs then pours each group into a ziplok bag seals and freezes them. When cooking or baking, she thaws a bag then measures the contents into a 1/4 measuring or custard cup at a time. A 1/4 cup equals one jumbo egg. She and her husband have been preparing eggs that way for 2-1/2 years. They can also be wisked and frozen 1egg at a time then thawed. They buy the eggs at DashMart. My friend lives in Texas but there are now 5 DashMarts in Georgia. Just check the eggs before taking them home to because none are broken.

Q: Can you fit a bagel instead of an English muffin?

submitted by kgutekanst - 7 years ago
  • A: A refrigerated grocery store bagel will fit, but I don't think it is going to warm up thoroughly. I would recommend toasting the bagel before using it in the breakfast sandwich maker.

submitted bygaagaagiw - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes, with this unit you can make sandwiches with English muffins, biscuits, small bagels, and more

  • A: The last photo in the description shows a bagel sandwich.

submitted byRick - 6 years ago
  • A: It fits an English muffin with a little room to spare width wise so it would totally depend on the size of bagel you use. If you use a huge homemade deli type bagel - no way. If you have a store bought bagel that you buy in the bread aisle, I'm guessing it would work.

Q: Does this product contain PFAS?

submitted by rc - 5 months ago
  • A: Funny how there was no "brand expert" answer to this question. I will chime in and say any non-stick pan surface contains toxins and cancer causing chemicals. Google "leadsafemama" and you'll be extremely enlightened about all the items that have toxins in them

submitted byS - 5 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. No, this Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker does not contain PFAS.

Q: Can I cook an omelet or frittata in the breakfast sandwich maker?

submitted by Nikki - 4 years ago
  • A: Not exactly. You can put egg with whatever you want in it, yes, but given that an omelet has "stuff" inside it and is then folded over, this would not be the same. You're essentially making a "patty."

submitted byBonnie - 1 year ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. Yes, you may create omelets and frittatas in this Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker.

Q: Can you use round frozen sausage?

submitted by AaronR - 5 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. You may use a precooked sausage patty in this Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker.

  • A: I use pre-cooked frozen sausage in mine every day, but I put one into the refrigerator overnight and let it thaw first. If I forget and it's still frozen, I'll microwave it a bit. If it's too cold when you put it into the sandwich maker, it can throw off the cooking process.

Q: How long does it take to prepare a sandwich?

submitted by msrn - 5 years ago
  • A: 5 min pre-heat, 5-6 min cook time. Fortunately you can usually go back to back then after initially heating. It was a hit Xmas morning.

submitted byChris - 2 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. Sandwiches are made ready to eat in 5 minutes or less
