Also when I search other sites for description of the same item, almost all state "Proudly made in the USA by Nordic Ware." Hope this helps. p.s. I love these pans. A: Hello **Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm soapy water. **Dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur due to the heat and cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan. **Towel dry pans after washing to prevent water stains. **Natural aluminum pans works well with parchment paper for roasting and baking, and traditional shortening/butter and flour methods when used for baking. **Nylon, wood, or silicone utensils are recommended. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch aluminum pans, but will not affect safety or performance. **Aluminum is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products. These foods may darken, pit, or corrode the pan after prolonged use. **Oven safe to 500°F (260°C)
