This familiar New Orleans landmark has been located in the French market since 1862. Hot Beignets are at their best when served with our delicious Creole coffee with chicory, packed fresh in a 15 oz vacuum can-The ideal gift for your friends.
Directions
Simple as: Mix-in bowl 2 cups mix and 7 fl oz water. Stir with spoon until blended. Roll - to 1/8 thickness on floured surface, using flour liberally on dough. Cut into 2-1/4 squares. Makes about 2 dozen. Fry - in an inch or two of oil at 370 degrees basting continually on each side until puffy and light golden. Drain well. (Oil should be hot enough for dough to pop to surface in 8-10 seconds.) Electric skillet works best. Enjoy-while hot. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Serve with a cup of Cafe Du Monde Cafe Au-Lait. Bon Appetit!

I love this mix and wish they were still selling them online or in stores. Every time I check they're out of stock. They taste just like the Disneyland beignets and I have such nostalgia eating these! We like to use them with a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter and pretend that we're at Disneyland. With this mix, it's pretty effective.

I just want to let everyone know that you are supposed to pile on powdered sugar after you fry these. I see a lot of reviews saying they are flavorless or not sweet. It’s not supposed to be because they literally pile on the powdered sugar in New Orleans. Might be worth googling images to see how the serve it in the Big Easy.

I grew up eating beignets from this Cafe du Monde box brand. My stepmom is Creole and would make them every year. Since we couldn't get back to New Orleans due to military moves, we would buy this brand and it was just as good. I'm so glad I found these and can share this family tradition with my daughter.

Spectacular! Made them with a group of 10-12 year old girls for a New Orleans-themed slumber party. They were easy and delicious, and not too far off from the original Cafe du Monde beignets!

11/15/17 - I just received the 6 boxes that I ordered of Beignet Mix. Packaging was good and only one box of mix had a damaged corner. Contents were okay. This is the same recipe that is used in New Orleans Square at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. I only gave them 4 stars as the "Use Before" date on 2 boxes was November 2017 (this month). I heard this has happen on other orders from other websites, with returns/exchanges being difficult. I will use the two November 2017 boxes for a Thanksgiving treat. The other dates on the rest of the boxes: December 2017, April 2018 (2) and May 2018. I had hoped they would have all been mid-late 2018. Next time that I order them, I will make a request for the longest "Use By" dates.

I was excited to find this beignet mix at target.com. I can't find it in the stores anywhere near me so I ordered it. Unfortunately, when they sent it to me they didn't check the expiration date. It has been expired for 5 months already.

Visited cafe in New Orleans was happy to see target carries this product
