Rocking Chair Solid Wood - International Concepts

I am not one to usually write reviews... But for this, I feel like I have to. This is nothing to do with target but international concepts, the company that makes this chair. I loved the classic look of this chair! It matched my daughters nursery perfect. We recieved it as a shower gift, we didn't start using it until my daughter started sleeping in her crib in her room. My husband was rocking our 4 month old daughter, and the chair broke with them in it. How scary!!!! The weight limit is 225 lbs. the two of them together weigh 185. I called target, it's passed 90 days, I called international concepts they said call target. Apparently once it ships, they no longer deal with it. All in all, the chair looks nice. It's horrible to assemble because the holes don't even line up correctly. And on top of it.. after using the chair only ten times, it may break. So thankful nobody got hurt. And looks like we are SOL now. $200.00 later, we have no rocking chair for our daughter when we really need it.

The chair is really pretty when it is all put together but only problem we had was the holes on the bottom weren't lining up at first. My boyfriend had to break one of the legs to get it to fit right so we wouldn't have to call and go thru the hassle of ordering a new bottom. Everything worked out and the chair is usable.

Bought chair to rock new great granddaughter who liked to be held close and rocked. She instantly goes to sleep. Great addition to my living room

The color was as advertised. However had I read the reviews I would have saved the effort of trying to assemble the chair and eventually having to return it. The rocker bottom did not align with the seat holes and the arm rests did not align with the seat and chair back. Impossible to assemble. I found one made in America that was perfect.

The previous reviews that mention issues with assembly/poor instructions didn't just have bad luck. The bars that hold the leg rockers are not labeled which is the front bar, and which is the rear bar. After figuring that out, we were able the get the chair just about assembled, BUT the left arm rest did not have the screw groves to lock the arm rest into place. While we could have given up and returned the item, we had already devoted and hour into putting it together. We decided to drill a hole on the bottom side of the arm rest, big enough to put one of the extra barrel nuts in there, so that the screw had something to lock into.

This is a beautiful chair I was looking to buy a rocking chair for baby nursery but wanted a chair that can use later not a glider this item is well made beautiful design and very comfortable it took my brother about 1 hour to set up no regrets! Glad didn't pay attention to other bad reviews not sure why they complained about set up I told my brother to be careful since item had bad reviews on set up and pieces but he explained that a handy person needs to set it up he had no difficulties see picture so happy with my purchase

I read the two reviews before buying this chair. The review warned people that the pieces didn't fit. However I thought it was just bad luck for them. I WAS WRONG! It was so hard to make the pieces fit! I almost had to return it but my husband finally was able to get it put together with a little muscle. It took about an hour and a half.

The holes on the bottom of the rocker seat are drilled about 1/4 inch too far inward so when the rocker legs are attached the bottom the rocker bases do not sit flat against the bottom.There is About 1/4 " gap on one side -it sits crooked.I put some wood shims in the gaps to make it work since it was a less than $100.chair.This piece is definitely not pre- drilled correctly from the factory.Don't buy this unless you have a lot of patience and wood working fix it skills!

We purchased this rocker online with free shipping which made it an even better value. My husband and I put it together fairly quickly, about 1 hour, and it was ready to go. We were impressed with the quality and would recommend it to anyone.

Loved the look of the chair but the spindle pieces that hold the base together don't fit. we had to return.

The stretch bars connecting the left and right rockers together are too long. Once they are assembled, the rockers cannot be bolted to the seat because the holes are more than 1" off. The instructions also distinguish between the front and rear stretch bar, but do not indicate which is which. It didn't assemble in either position. It is like they included stretch bars for a different chair. Target shipped me a second chair - which had the same exact issue. Fortunately Target was good with the returns including return shipping, however this product is a dud.
