Q: Does Method free + clear contain protease, an enzyme that might break down protein-based fibers such as silk and wool? Has it been tested and deemed safe for use on silk and wool?

Q: Are the amounts recommended on the bottle (2/3 cap for medium, full cap for large load) for an HE washer? I previously used 4 pumps of Method concentrated laundry detergent in the pump bottle for my HE machine.

Q: why is there polyester in your detergent?
A: the polyester in our laundry detergent is an engineered polymer, that binds to dirt in the washing machine and is readily biodegradable in the environment. it does not contribute to the micro-plastics pollution issue about which many folks worry. polymers are pretty common and can be both synthetic and naturally occurring. while it’s the same name as the polyester in many modern fabrics, polyester fabric is a pretty different than our polyester in our laundry detergent.

Q: can i use this for handwashing baby clothes?
A: yes our free + clear laundry detergent is safe to use on all washable fabrics including baby clothes. however there is quantity recommendation.

Q: is this biodegradable?
A: If you go their website https://methodhome.com/product-category/laundry/ you will see the ingredients are listed as biodegradable and the label on the front of the bottle states biodegradable formula. Hopes this helps you out. Have a great day.
