Pressman The Oregon Trail Game

This game was not well thought out and had no strategy or game play.

One of the best games our family has ever had. Maybe we have a bit of a dark side to see each other get eliminated but we all had a good time despite the rage of ages.

Not fun, gave it away as soon as I could. Awful game.

Like others have said, this game is entirely too complex and convoluted to set up while somehow lacking clarity around the actual game play. The game play itself was boring and repetitive. It’s definitely not a game for 2 people. Maybe it would be better with a bigger group, but I wouldn’t spend my time on it again.

Good game but missing stickers for the dice

This game is awesome but also so frustrating, haha. Everyone complains that it's impossible to win, but that's the whole point of this cursed game! Me and my friends treat it like a high-score game to see how far we can get; and we love it! Only gripe is some vague rules that we had to decide what to do with.

This game is very poorly designed, literally unplayable with two players. It took us 3-4 times as long to set it up as it took to play. The instructions are not written clearly, the components feel cheap (you literally have to put stickers on the dice yourself), and there’s no strategy involved. If you happen to get this, there are folks online who have created alternative rules to try to fix this broken game.

This game is so fun my family really enjoys it

This game almost completely lacks strategy. Almost every single part of the game is just luck of the draw. You place trail cards and eventually you'll have to place trail cards which will make you draw a calamity card that will either cause you to roll a die or lose resources or just lose resources. If you can't lose resources then you pick a friend and lose their resources randomly. There are even cards that can make you die instantly with no way at all to prevent it. You could even draw the card that causes you to die instantly on your first turn. There's almost no way to plan or think about what might be coming up. You don't get many resource cards in your hand, you don't get to choose which resources you start with, and if you don't have the right resource at the right time then you lose the game. There are times where you'll get to choose a few new resource cards but there's no clue about which calamity you might be facing next so it is 100% luck whether you live or die for another round. This game is not fun. It basically states in the rules that you're probably going to lose, which is true to the old video game. It sounds like it would be worth a laugh but isn't actually fun to lose this game. When you're done it'll just feel like a waste of your time. The directions for this game are at once too long and also not specific or clear enough.

This game is designed poorly, it’s not fun simply because of its design. It needs so much more to the gameplay, it’s honestly boring…

Very fun game to play with family

This is a fun game to play with friends and family! It brings back memories of playing the computer games

Literally so much fun—a little hard to keep the game straight at first—but suuuuoer fun after the learning curve

Impossible to win with two or even three people. Not fun.

We just opened this game after receiving around Christmas as a White Elephant Gift and our Dice is pitch black. It’s unusable. I tried to contact Pressman (the company on the box) but even though the game is featured on their site when I’m trying to contact them it does not come up in their scroll down selection so I can’t even contact them. A little disappointed.

Instructions Are Lacking
