The odor you encountered is not typical, and we recommend washing them before the first use to eliminate any residual odors from the manufacturing process. Regarding the issue of color bleeding and staining, it's essential to note that color bleeding can occur when new towels are washed for the first time. This is because excess dye from the manufacturing process may not have been completely rinsed out. To mitigate this, we recommend washing new towels separately for the first few washes to prevent bleeding onto other items. We highly recommend following the washing instructions provided to ensure the best care and performance of our towels.
