submitted bycsalem3333 - 1 year agoA: You raise a very good point! Vicks Sinex nasal sprays contain the nasal decongestant active ingredient Oxymetazoline HCl 0.05%. Oxymetazoline is not considered a drug with abuse potential or a controlled substance by the FDA, and is approved as being safe and effective when used as directed. However, prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen. If you’re concerned, we advise that you consult your doctor.
