Q: Why does this mug has a p65 warning for California?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The stainless steel in the interior of the vacuum mug and spring in the lid contains nickel. Nickel is an important alloying element in food-grade stainless steel. It provides high anti-corrosive properties to the stainless steel (surgical steel contains nickel). The sticker on the bottom of the outside of the vacuum mug contains DBP. Please note that the bottom of the vacuum mug does not come in to direct contact with food or beverage. A: Thank you for your inquiry. The interior can be cleaned using a handled sponge to easily reach the base of the interior with warm water and mild dish detergent. The SM-KA model has a non-stick coated interior whereas the SM-KHE does not and instead has an electro-polilshed interior with no non-stick coating. I have had the non-stick version of this for years and loved it. I "upgraded" to this one to reduce my exposure to the non-stick chemicals. I like it. Unfortunately the front latch hits my chin in an uncomfortable way when I take a sip. It's an annoying design flaw. I wish I had know this before spending so much money on this mug.

This is my second Zojirushi mug. My first has been used every day for the past 12 years and is still in great shape. It keeps coffee warm whether you drink it at 9 AM, at 2 PM, or the following day. The thermos holds up well- I've carried it in backpacks and purses (including dropping it more than a few times) and the vacuum seal is nice and tight even after a lot of use (no leaks!). I highly recommend this product if you want a mug for life!

I don't usually write product reviews but this mug is worthy of acclaim because..well.. it works so well. It never leaks, it's the right size for taking with me wherever I go, it comes apart for cleaning, the lid is design to flip off so you can get a clean drink ie the part that touches your lips is not exposed. AND you can buy replacement parts. I've used this bottle for many years and then I lost it, tragedy! So I had to replace it. It's worth the cost so hang on to it. It's the one and only water bottle for me.

I was given this mug (SM-KHE48-PT) at the end of May 2024. I've used it only for cold beverages, and it's been great at keeping them good and cold for a long time. I dropped down to giving it 3 stars because after a little while it drips when I sip from it. Not thrilled with wearing coffee stains on my shirt for the rest of the day!

I have found a new winner for my travel mug. I have had several other mugs in this class but the Zojirushi has put them all in their place. It's smaller size fits comfortably not only in my hand, but in my bag or back pocket. It also is extremely well insulated keeping hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for 8 or more hours. But the best feature for me, is the ease in cleaning the spout. This, for me, is what makes this mug shine. For me, this mug Crushes all others!

This is my son’s second zojirushi water bottle. He got one in Japan in 2018. He has been using it everyday in school for the past 5 years. His first bottle is still in good condition but we’re so glad to find out that Target carries this brand. This water bottle is very light and sleek. Ice does not melt easily. It is very easy to carry and it fits the bottle holder of my son’s lunch bag. It is easy to clean. It is very durable.
