Q: Is the paper weight 24 lb.? And does the self stick feature have a strip to peel off and that has to be discarded or not?

A: That was a straightforward question. Is the paper weight of the envelope 24 pound paper? This has NOTHING to do with the weight of the box. Every kind of paper has a weight. What is the weight???
submitted byRalph Bauren - 10 months agoA: Hi ray - Thanks for asking! The weight of the box of envelopes is 1.59 lbs, with that being said, each envelope is much lighter. As for the self stick feature, it does have a strip to peel and would need to be discarded in order for the envelope to fully seal. We hope this helps! - Jerith

A: Size is #10 --- normal 8.5x11 letters fit just fine.

A: Hi Mel - These security envelopes are designed for a standard 8 1/2 inch x 11 inch sized paper. A personal check will fit inside the 4 1/8 inch x 9 1/2 inch sized envelope as well but there will be some extra room. You'll enjoy the easy press and seal feature, too! - LeAnn

I purchased these envelopes to mail another letter but the adhesive (which you pull the strip off so it adheres) did not hold very well....had to have it taped to make sure it stayed sealed. These envelopes might be ok if you are mailing a single page but anything heavier will require tape! i would not buy them again...

Whoever invented press and seal envelopes is a genius. So thrilled I dont have to lick the envelope adhesive, which is so gross. Now, if only greeting card companies could get on board with this too :)
