I love this lettuce. It's not as watery as most lettuce, which I like, and supposedly butter lettuce is one of the most nutritious kinds. This is a very good price, as well, especially given that it's organic. I have never seen bugs on it as some of the other reviewers mentioned, but those reviews are a few years old so maybe the company is doing a more thorough job of washing it now.

I really like the actual quality of the lettuce. HOWEVER, every time I get this lettuce I have to pick through every single shred of lettuce to pick all of the bugs off of each piece of lettuce and then wash the lettuce myself! I don’t know how they can claim that the lettuce is prewashed, and ready to consume straight out of the package!

I rarely write reviews but you all NEED to know this. I’ve been buying this lettuce for almost a year because it’s washed three times. That’s what they claim but one week I found dirty brown water at the bottom of the dish, I was almost done with the lettuce so I shrugged it off and threw the rest away. Next week I found a live ant in the container and I threw it away. This week I decided to wash the lettuce myself because I was starting to doubt the claim of “washed three times.” Good thing I did because I found these red little insects all over the lettuce and a huge one just hanging out in a folded piece of lettuce. I’m probably not going to buy this again, I just wanted to share my experience and help you avoid accidentally consuming a bug.

Organic Girl greens are amazing. These ones are my favorite. The butter lettuce is crunchy, juicy, and rich tasting. The red lettuce leaves are thinner and milder, but add great nutrition. The greens are always very clean.

LOVE this! Perfect base for all kinds of salads, and for some reason it seems to stay fresh longer than bagged salads/lettuce. Very pleased - first tried it a few mos ago and now I buy one or two every time I’m at a Target!
