Q: can this be used for deisel?
A: It is suggested to use the Midwest Can part #8160, Yellow Can for diesel. Yellow indicates diesel.

Q: Is there a trick to preventing leakage? I ordered two cans and one pours with no issues and does not leak, but the other leaks all over when trying to pour. It is vented before pouring as shown here.

Q: Can this also be used for kerosene?
A: Kas, first off thank you for your question. Containers are colored for regulatory reasons, but all of our fuel containers are treated with a protective layer. We also sell blue Kerosene containers.

Q: How do I stop it from spraying gas out the opening of an empty can and how do I stop it cutting off immediately no matter how gently I squeeze? I was at a pump where you have to push the pump in to the can.
A: Marochka, you need to release the pressure that builds up inside your container before each use. This is called venting. You can do this by slowly loosening the black screw cap for a few seconds. Make sure you re-tighten the cap before dispensing fuel. Some gas stations are very high flow and you need to gently begin to fill your container. Q: Will the older, no-bullcrap, Blitz fuel can spouts fit this can? This can looks like a Blitz can with a suicide spout.
A: Tater, the spout system and neck are proprietary and only fit Midwest Can Containers.

Q: Is there another handle on the side of the gasoline can?
A: CountryGirl43, first off thank you for your question. Our larger 5 gallon containers have 2 handle design for ease of use. There is a handle located at the top of the container and also the backside.

Q: How do I order a replacement O washer that goes to the base of the Quick-Flow Spout? The one I have is cracked and now the can leaks gas whenever I tried to pour it into my car. I bought my cans 6-months ago (9/11/2020).

Q: Hard to fill it up. Have to be really careful or it spill at the gas station. Wish was an easier way?
A: Zelcolf, when filling your container please start out slow and increase speed as allowed. Gas stations flow at different speeds. You will find that some stations can pour at full speeds and some you will need to ease into the flow. To relate it would be like taking a hose and shooting it directly into a bucket, there will be splash back unless you control the hoses flow. Q: What’s the proper way to store the fuel. With the spout facing out or in and is the red disc supposed to stay there when fuel is inside. I am used to the fuel can with yellow breathing cap.
A: Laura, thank you for the question. If your fuel container currently has fuel inside it is best to store the container with the spout fully assembled on the can. The red disk (spout cap) should be placed on the tip of the spout so that debris will not be able to enter spout.
