Description
DecoHooks make it easy to hang your wall decor items in drywall, without any tools. The hooks are designed to twist into drywall, and then push the head of the hook until it sits flush with the wall. The rear tip of the hook will engage into the back of the drywall, which gives the hook it’s superior holding strength.
The patented design of the head creates a groove in between the back of the head and the wall, to make sure whatever you hang on it, stays on it. This small head version is designed to work with all types of hanging hardware (wire, D-rings, sawtooth hooks and keyhole hangers) and is particularly well suited to work with D-rings and keyhole hangers.
Note that these hangers require that the area behind the drywall where they are being installed has room for the wire, so they cannot be installed over top of a wall stud, or in plaster walls.

Q: If you use two hooks does it double the weight it can hold? So do two 20lbs hooks hold 40lbs?

While it’s true that hanging an item using two hangers will distribute the weight over two points, which will allow you to hang more weight on them together, it will not double the weight capacity for a single hanger. Q: Can the hooks be used for ceiling (drywall) ? Is it recommended ?

A: Hi Gaby, thanks for reaching out, that's a great question! Our DécoHooks™ were designed specifically to be used in horizontal walls, where the unique shape of the head will spread out the load on the drywall to make it more secure, and to prevent damage to the drywall. Using it in the ceiling would negate some of the advantages of the design, so we do not recommend it. Typically we would look at a solution which would use an anchor that would spread out behind the drywall to give you maximum support, and then into that insert a screw with a hook or ring at the end, depending on what you wish to hang from your ceiling. Q: How do you remove them from the wall?

A: Hi there, thanks for reaching out - that's a great question! Removing the DécoHook™ is basically the reverse of installing them into the wall. To make it a little easier, place the claw of a hammer underneath the top portion of head, and gently pry it out of the wall 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch or so. This will unhook the back of the wire from the rear of the drywall, and from that point it will be easy to rotate and slide out of the wall without any damage. The UTR Team

Like the song by the honkytonk band Buckfortynine: "Keep it Simple Stupid," the KISS principle shines through here. They are mind-bogglingly simple but effective. I lost a mounting bracket (how??) to my Ikea organizer board and these solved my problem pronto.

These are ridiculous easy to use and work great. I have all my framed degrees hung with these hooks (and those things are heavy). I also hang all my heavier art work with these. 100% recommend!

Used it for the Target 28” round wall mirror by Project 62. It was super easy to install. No need for an anchor that would’ve resulted with a huge hole. I’ve had the mirror up for about two weeks and so far no problem. I would very much recommend!

Easy installation. Does the trick. I like the end that creates a knob for hanging. Really great product! Works better than Hercules Hooks when the item you’re hanging needs a lip or knob to be placed securely.

You hit the nail on the head (pun intended) when you point out how the design of the DécoHooks™ make hanging items on the head more secure. The other big difference between it and the other 'hook' products on the market is that the item hangs at the exact point where the hook goes into the wall. All other hooks have a hanging point that is below the point where it goes into the wall which means that you have to compensate for that distance when you decide where to put it into the wall, otherwise your item will hang lower than you expect it to, which makes aligning multiple items much more of a challenge. Taking the complexity out of hanging stuff on your wall is what we are all about. Happy decorating! The UTR Team
