These are full lenght baseball pants (not knee pants.) My son is skinny and it's hard to find baseball pants that fit him. He's 9 years old, 4'8" and about 70 pounds, the mediums fit him perfect. (We orderd the larges too, but they were about an inch too big in the waist and not as tight around the ankle.) If your child is average size these probably won't fit. He likes that they have the elastic at the bottom, he says it helps his pants not come up when he slides. :) I haven't washed them yet, so we'll see how they hold up. They seem like quality made pants, although I feel they are a little pricey for little boys pants (that he's going to grow out of.)

If you have a child that has skinny thighs, then I really can't find a better baseball pants than this. Actually, my son's thighs are getting more meaty due to playing soccer concurrently with baseball, and he doesn't have much problems putting the pants on - maybe a couple jumps, then bingo. The pants offer extra padding on the knees, and the quality of the construction and the material is exceptional. I haven't had any problems with any of my son's mizuno pants - except for my son growing out of them every season(!!!).

The quality of the pants seem better than those you can find at the local sporting goods store....which also seem to carry limited stock with elastic bottoms. Thumbs up!
