Bottom hose is useless as a watering hose because there is not enough pressure in the barrel to force the water through. The faucet leaks and is poor design. Customer service offered no advice/help.
Holds the rain water but not the debris

I have both the large container and a smaller one. Both are great. I put them in the garage over the winter so that I still have water for plants.
Spigot broke off - again; but second one was after a year

Must drill holes in planter to keep plants from drowning (just like many other attractive planters I have purchased.) The faucet leaked and was difficult to get to and reseal but was accomplished. We empty and store away for winter. I absolutely love this rain barrel and would like to buy the smaller one to pair with it for even more water storage.

Really sad that it is not ready to use. Could have notified the buyer on what equipment you need to set this up but you should have included ALL the items needed to actually use this with INSTRUCTIONS!

We're so sorry for the confusion! All of the parts (hose, spigot, etc) and the instructions are shipped inside of the urn. We've reached out to you directly to make sure you have everything you need.

I hoped the reviews were wrong and this would look just as lovely as the stock pictures show. Unfortunately, that was not the case, there's paint all over the front and quite frankly, it's messy-looking.

A little taken back how cheaply it's put together. 1. shame on me, I did not realize it was plastic. It's plastic 2. The seams are off and the front hole is a mess. But it's sturdy and a nice color.

It works incredibly well - an eye opener as to the amount of water you can collect in even a small rain - great for New Mex living!
Faucet broke in very few weeks

faucet/connection cheaply done. I realized the plastic material was cheap and decided to use it very carefully and only myself to open/close the water faucet. The sun exposure/time was enough to make it break by itself. Just 3 weeks from installed the bottom faucet broke. The middle one is still working, but there is 1/3 water volume that cannot be used w/o bottom faucet.

Draining and cleaning it is almost impossible. The spicket fused within a year of use. I have tried to purchase a replacement spicket but was told by Gardener's Supply that was not available. I am very disappointed that I can not repair this barrel.

We had an ugly gutter situation that was made worse in winter with ice jams. Removing the guttter and using this rain urn corrected the issue and gives us a way to save rainwater in a very dry summer

I do love the look of this rain barrel. I was surprised by how quickly it filled up with just one 1/2 inch rain storm. There is an easy way to connect to an overflow barrel if I want to add another. I would change the top to make the entrance for the rain water larger and the planter area smaller. The way the rain comes off my roof floods the entire top of the barrel. I also really appreciate having the hose connection at the bottom plus the spigot mid way up the barrel.
Leaked.

The first rain we had, the barrel leaked along the side seams. The area for "planting" is very shallow and doesn't allow for much soil at all.
Exceeded expectations in every way

It took only one small rain event and it was full. Delighted with this device and feel better about watering annuals with captured water rather than using hose. And so lovely we installed out front - no need to hide this in a back corner!
I would buy this barrel again.

Love this rain barrel. Did all the research and found that this was the one that was made the best (not plastic faucet to drain the water). I've since recommended this to two or three of my friends who were also in the market for a rain barrel. Great product and fabulous customer service. Many thanks, Ron

Rain barrel works and gets full very fast! I added petunias as pictured, but they get destroyed when it rains. Perhaps due to the rain chain I attached to the rain barrel.
