I don't understand all the terrible reviews about this sauce being too spicy, it's a Thai sauce, and it says directly on the bottle "medium heat" - it's both sweet and spicy the way it's supposed to be. It has a nice balance but if you don't like spicy don't eat Thai food or purchase Thai products expecting a different outcome.

Carrageenan can become toxic when it degrades in the digestive system and mixes with stomach acid. Degraded carrageenan is considered "possibly carcinogenic in humans" by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It gives me the WORST headaches. I make my own Peanut Sauce for my delicious cold noodle dish, and hoped this could save me time. Perhaps one day the ingredients here may change...

I thought this sauce was really good! I didn’t have a lot of time to make dinner one night so I grabbed this, some of Target’s premade chicken, frozen broccoli, and rice. Threw it together and it’s now one of my husband’s favorite meals! (Protip: add a little fresh cilantro too).

So…I am working my way through every single one of these Good & Gathering sauces. This one is too hot (spicy) for me (not a heat foodie) but my children really liked it. I had hoped for a peanut smooth type taste. Savory. No heat. I will buy this again for my children but not for me.

It’s pretty okay! It’s what you’d expect from pad thai sauce from a jar I’d say. Personally, I don’t think the spice level is too bad but I can see why some people are complaining that it has a little bit of a kick to it. The taste is fine but it’s nothing spectacular. The consistency is also quite thin and it doesn’t thicken very well. I’d buy it again for when I’m in the mood for some pad thai at home and want something quick and cheap.

I discovered this by accident when I couldn't find my usual Thai Peanut sauce and I love it. The peanutty flavor hits first and then the spices kick in. It's not too spicy for me, just a touch above mild in my opinion. Granted, I'm not Asian, I don't have much of a point of reference for Thai food and I would not even have considered trying to make my own. But I really like it and I will buy it again.

Based on the other reviews I was skeptical if my husband and I would like this. We loved it! The only thing I would reccomend is to get two if you're going to have a large serving. The one jar wasn't enough for a good coating.

Very sour, acrid. Tastes like someone ate a jar of peanut butter, then a chili, and then vomited back up into this jar. I am asian and I make a lot of Asian food. I was planning to buy this to save time but I had to remake the sauce anyways due to how foul it was.

So yes, as others have said this is spicy. I added a scoop of peanut butter (crunchy) and that made a huge difference! If you hate spicy definitely don't eat it but if spice doesn't bother you then this is amazing!
