Q: Could a baby bite off a piece of this and eat it? (I know a baby who ate some foam off of a play mat. )

A: No. With normal use, it would be unlikely for a baby to be able to remove a piece of this play mat and eat it.

A: Hello, thank you for your question. The Silky Folding mat has a textured backing for added traction. However, it does not have a non-slip backing. The mat may move around depending on the floor type.

A: Hi. Yes, this is a cushioned play mat. The Silky Folding mats have a thickness of 0.4 inches made of PE foam. The surface of the mat is made of cotton providing your baby with a soft padded surface to play on.

A: Hi, thank you for your question. Due to the unique fabric surface that the Silky Portable Mat features, it is not recommended for outdoor use. The regular Portable Folding Mat (not Silky) is better suited for outdoor use.

Do not be fooled by the simple carrying bag. Impressed with the quality, built and materials of the play mat. Prior to purchasing this I had ordered another foldable play mat off Amazon. I immediately returned it upon receiving it. I researched some more and came across this product. I had high expectations and I’m happy to say that I was not disappointed!!! Bonus points for having a cute design and not giving me a headache with wild colors. Love the big size, we can lay down with our little one during tummy time. We are already getting lots of use out of it. This will be definitely see us thru rolling, crawling and those first steps. Needless to say I already purchased a play pen that fits these dimensions. So pleased with this purchase.

The item I received does not match the item pictured in the description. The company should distinguish between ordering different designs. Also, considering the quality of the item is just okay, the price is steep. This mat should be less expensive.

This has been a great purchase. Easy to fold up and put away in the included bag. Because of the folding I can also only open it partway when I’m visiting somewhere with less space. Softens the ground without being too difficult to crawl on.

Super cute! Works great for crawler/early walker. It’s comfortable, and light. It’s also easy to adjust size to fit area of use or to move where needed, indoors and outdoors. Only downfall is that it is a little difficult to wipe clean.

Purchased this for my 7 month old to play on the floor and have tummy time as we have laminate floors. This is a great size as it gives my baby a good amount of covered space to play on without having to worry if he falls. My only complaint is that sometimes he spits up and it stains. I'm sure there's a way to get the stains out per Google but wiping it with a damp cloth doesn't cut it.

This is really cute and seems like great quality so far. It is a soft material on top so probably no liquid proof. Our son spits up a lot but we usually are right there to clean it up so no issues so far. My only complaint is that this is a pet hair magnet. We don’t let our dog on it but if you own pets you know animal hair gets everywhere. My problem is that I haven’t found an effective way to get it off. I haven’t vacuumed because I don’t want something that’s on all the other floors where my son is not crawling yet and puts basically open mouth “eats” the mat right now.

I was looking for something comfortable and cute for grownups to sit on and baby to play on (I’m too old for these hardwood floors) and this foam mat fits the bill — and is larger than I realized, so there’s plenty of room for me to sit and still have room for my 6 month old to roll and (almost) crawl. Unfortunately, it’s not at all water repellent which is not ideal for my little spit-up happy baby, and for the price this surprised me.

Haven’t used it yet but I’m so excited to! Beautiful and so lightweight. So far exactly what I was looking for as I wanted something that would go well with our decor but also be easy for us to travel with.
Perfect portable mat! It is big and provides plenty of cushion!

The mat is actually fairly big! It is very light, yet provides plenty of cushion so that kids can be safe. My son actually loves following the roads around that's drawn on the mat. I would definitely highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a decent sized portable mat. (It is probably top of the line quality that you can find anywhere)

I have used this mat for a week with my baby. Parklon mats are always of amazing quality and this one particular is lightweight and durable. It doesn’t smell like other brands. Highly recommend to all the moms.

Great mat!!! Actually, I love all the Parklon mats. This mat is very light and durable. Easy to carry out for travel and picnic. This mat comes with a nice bag as well. It is also good to use under or above the carpet. It gives you more extra cusion. Awesome design and color front and back. You don't need to worry about stains. It is easy to clean and maintain. It is different with other cheaper mats. It is safe for baby and kids. Non toxic materials.

I am a big fan of Parklon Mat! I have had a play mat, a bubble mat, and now I am having this foldable mat. I like it because it is light weight and portable. It came folded within a travel bag. This one is specifically unique due to the fabric surface (“silky”). In winter time, when it is really cold, the mat still feel warm. The other mats with PVC surface can feel really cold sometimes. It is still designed to be water proof, so it is easy to clean and maintain. The anti-slip structure/pattern on the surface makes me feel safe to have kids run on it. The Parklon products are always toxic-free and child safe. This one is the same. No weird chemical smell. I am very satisfied. However, it is thinner than the other Parklon play mat or bubble mat. So I guess it might not be as good in terms of cushioning in certain conditions, such as big kids jumping down from a furniture. But I think it is definitely sufficient to protect infant/toddler in cases like regular falls when learning to crawl and walk. The price of a foldable mat is much cheaper than other play mat or bubble mat. In summary, I think it is a good idea to use it to create a child safe environment at home or when traveling. Highly recommend it!

I purchased this recently for my newborn to practice tummy time. I needed something that was easy to put away since our living space is small. The mat is soft, light, and foldable. You also don’t have to worry about slipping because of the material. I would purchase this item again.
