Q: How deep is the track under the desk for this keyboard tray?

A: The "RAIL" on the KT1 Ergonomic Under-Desk Keyboard Tray is approximately 15.75" long. At this length, when KT1 is lowered all the way it will approximately slide all the way under your desk. The rail is made of steel and can be easily cut down to a shorter size. If you'd like more sliding depth, you can order a 2nd rail from the manufacturer (Uncaged Ergonomics). If you have a barrier (like a crossbar) under your desk, you can mount a block of wood to your desk, and then mount the rail under the block of wood so it "clears" the crossbar.
