Contigo Ashland Chill 2.0 Stainless Steel Water Bottle with AUTOSPOUT Lid

If water is stored for any length of time, even when refrigerated, it leaves an awful plastic-like after-taste. While I'm not a chemistry and also don't have the equipment to test this, at a minimum it makes me question its safety

The previous version of this bottle was fantastic. This new version with a straw is very difficult to suck through

Loved the insulated water bottle, but the plastic autospout piece ripped (I have no idea how?) and there is no replacement. The water bottle doesn't work without a straw and doesn't work without the autospout piece. Unfortunately this was a waste of money as the design has a major flaw. I do not recommend.

To the people that complain you can’t get suction/or it’s making a whistling sound: you need to push the straw further up into the top. I have bought at least 5 of these, some of which I’ve had for several years. I wash mine in the dishwasher, top rack with the straw removed. It took until last month for one of the lids to finally break a piece. These have traveled with me to france & Mexico multiple times. I only fill twice before washing again. They go to the gym and work & it took at least two years for one to break whatsoever. So yes I would like to be able to buy a replacement lid instead of a whole new bottle because the bottles are great, drinks stay cold forever in a hot car no problem. The flip lid is so convenient and I don’t have problems with leakage. All you have to do is twist it on firmly and lock the flip mechanism. My only other complaint is that I have a tendency to drop things and after a bunch of times dropping it on the concrete going in and out of my car, the bottom gets pretty dinged up and makes the bottle less stable when set down. Fits in cup holders in my little Toyota, even in the door. I love the little handle too. The whole thing is just very convenient. I really hope they make replacement lids

I had this for about a month, it made a loud whistle when drinking, the straw didn’t often stay in place after refilling so when you went to use there was no suction. And I tried to fully clean the mouth piece and ending up ruining the entire bottle because it doesn’t go back together again. Do not recommend. I wish I saw these comments before I purchased.

I bought it because it said it was leak proof…. I should have known better it is not leaking proof, in fact it leaked more than any water bottle I’ve ever had! Sooo sad because I wanted to love it.

I have had 3 contiga bottles. (2 for cold; one for hot).. none of them worked. Thought I'd try again. The one I just bought DOES NOT keep water cold for 24 hours & leaks. No more Contiga Water or hot beverage bottles for me.

Nice design, but doesn’t keep water cold. By the next morning, my water was all melted and not cold.

I like the fact that's its light weight. I don't like the way the straw went bad into my 3rd month. I'm hoping that I can return it.

What can I say....Contigo is a great brand and hold drinks cold super well!

For the price, get another brand. The bottle leaks.

Great water bottle! Easy for my 6 year old to use and easy to clean as well!

Easily scratches, but decent size and fits in car holder

Cannot use it. The bottle itself feels like its sturdy to use. The lid is very fragile. I bought mine today. I washed it in the dishwasher on the top rack. Pulled the lid out, set it aside with spout open like instructions say. I just went to close the spout only to find it broken. It didn’t close. Not sure if I bought it broken or if it broke in my dishwasher. The button itself popped out of it. I emailed the contigo company about it.

I have had a few different Contigos. I love the mouthpiece on this one. The aluminum material keeps my water cold for HOURS (like I can take a sip in the morning and it's still chilled from the night before). I love the cucumber color. I wish I could find it in a bigger size though.
