I paid the extra money for this product because it was one of the few that came as thin as I was looking for. The size is great. The flame is very frustratingly unrealistic for the price. The unit also came dented, but customer service was very helpful.

Just what I wanted!! Always hard when you order from just a photo. It was installed and hard wired and works perfectly.

Our fireplace was exactly as described! Arrived on time and excellently packaged! It is a beautiful accompaniment to the large screen directly above it in our living room. We will rarely need the heat as we live in Florida, but it's a nice addition just in case. Adds a great deal of ambiance to our overlook look.

Easy to install...like the flame choices. Perfect size for the existing opening.

overall the fireplace was fine......it would have been excellent except the trim piece around the fireplace was lacking about 3/16 inch of material to hide the gap left from the final install. I am now in the process to figure out how to make up for the unsightly gap....if you could resolve that little problem it would be great.

It's beautiful and really warms up our living room. We love it and get lots of compliments!!

I wanted a modern looking fireplace that wasn't overly deep so that it wouldn't stick out so much in the room once installed and got just that. I was a little nervous ordering this as a few comments said the flames were unrealistic but I disagree, of course they aren't going to look exactly like a real flame but I am quite pleased! The installers didn't have problem getting it in either. Very happy with this fireplace!

Fireplace is not that bad but the dimensions of the fireplace are totally different than what is described. My project cost more bc I needed to have the wall redone. Make sure you ask for the dimensions before you buy.

It's only been in use for a couple of days but I love it! It looks so nice and gives the room a 'pop'! It gives the room just the right amount of heat. I would definitely recommend this fireplace and Electric Fireplaces Direct. So far so good. Thank you!

Like the look after it is built it. Would have preferred a similar fireplace without heat and easy to replace if it breaks. Being built it will require cutting stone if it needs replaced.

Product gives you all the looks for a reasonable price. Flame looks really nice and the heat was not to much. Glass doesn't get hot so that was a plus if you have kids.

We are building a new home and decided that a 55"" electric fireplace would be the best option for our great room. After doing a lot of research, it was obvious that for the price and the exact size we wanted, this Dynasty 55 was our best option. As soon as it arrived, we took it out of the box, plugged it in and made sure the flames, heat and remote control all worked properly. No problems at all! Looked great, provide adequate heat, was quiet and included everything as described on the website. We are still in the process of building our home, so it has not been installed yet, but we know we will love it. I plan to add photos to this review once we get it installed.

I understand that electric fireplaces don't always look super realistic but this unit takes it to a new low! The flame looks more like an orange and yellow mist than any kind of fire I've ever seen. The fan was noisy and didn't produce much heat. The quality was so poor that I would have been too embarrassed to turn the unit on when having guest over.

Pros. Is used most every morning. Very elegant design. Puts out good heat for only being 120 volts. Love how the heat vents are hidden in the front top of the glass and vent out on a downward 45 angle to the floor. Cons. Has the room to either add an additional fan and heating element and/or come in 240 volts for additional heating.

This is a very sleek, modern design. Perfect addition to any living room!
