I have had one of the older models for about 15yrs...it had the manual bar oil aplicator. Being able to switch back and forth between polesaw and chainsaw is a huge deal though you need to have some basic knowledge of chain and bar maintenance. I will now be getting this newer model because I decided to take down an entire 24 ft tree in my yard and that is probably more than it was intended for...I mean it still works but much more banged up. You know you have a good product when other companies try their best to imitate it, and that is what you are getting here.

I have used this product for at least two years and have had a ton of use out of it! I have seen the other reviews and disagree with their assessments. I kept it oiled and took the chain off and cleaned it and it worked for hours! It was a little tricky to put the chain back on but if you clean it well you will see there is a certain way that it needs to be tightened so it does not keep coming off. Just like taking care of any gun or power tool, if you keep it clean it will work perfectly for you when you need it to. The pole when fully extended is not going to defy the laws of physics you just need to take your time, plan your cuts with a little commonsense and ALWAYS err on the side of safety. Even if you cut a branch super slow and careful, just remember how much faster it is compared to using an old-timey handsaw! So, this third year I plan on getting my chain sharpened to get even more of my money's worth out of this kick-butt little versatile saw!

The pole broke when fully extended. I've had it for less than a year.

Nice saw for small jobs in the yard. I seldom use the pole because it is so heavy out at the end of the pole. As a stand-alone saw it is great. I keep the chain properly tensioned and the oil reservoir filled and it doesn't quit.

I am very disappointed with my purchase. This is the first day with it and the chain has come off multiple times. Not sure if it is user error in putting it back on (don't think so) or this is not a very good product.

I am highly thrilled by the overall appearance and durability of this. It's great for women or men because it's so lightweight. Very happy about this
