That said, it's perfect for warmer days when you just need a cover, for decoration, or even for picnics! Since it's not super soft material, the dog hair shakes right out of it which is a HUGE bonus for me. Overall a great living room blanket to keep out and handy!

What I mean is that the throw is very thick and made of great material that it would take many washes before it loses some of its toughness and becomes "soft-er". However, because it is great quality, it will last for years to come...and this throw will definitely keep you warm on a cold night/day.

It is a little bit scratchy and I am a freak when it comes to blankets that aren't super soft. If I was not obsessed with using decorative blankets on my blanket ladder and in baskets, I would have given this one a lower rating. I definitely recommend for decor but not for a cozy movie night on the couch.

The light brown/caramel color is really pretty and once it goes through the wash a few times, it does soften up. I've been using it while in my air conditioned home and it's kept me nice and warm.
