Hastings Home Faux Fur Throw Blanket - Hypoallergenic for Sofas and Beds

I got the blanket labeled “chocolate”. I am in the market for a sleeping blanket but couldn’t pass up the amazing deal. Purchased 1/14/25. It arrived today 1/21 which is pretty good considering a holiday yesterday. When I opened the main box, there was a black bag with an adjustable toggle and string. In that bag was a nice sized gift box with a lid. Inside that was the blanket wrapped in ribbon and cards with info about the ‘one of a kind handmade’ blanket, also introducing the designer and listing some of her previous notable collaborators. It’s a very beautiful design, represented accurately in the pictures, and very comparable to my throw from Restoration Hardware. The blanket has a good weight to it. The fur side is soft and long which I hadn’t expected, and not quite the silky soft the material on the underside of the blanket was. There is a stiffness to it which makes it a little awkward if wrapping it around your shoulders but it might require a break in period or a first wash to loosen up a bit. Doesn’t appear to shed easily like some blankets can. The box didn’t have any at the bottom and I didn’t notice any flying around or experience any eyes or nose itchiness when I unfolded the blanket. Overall, the designers checked every box and I would dare you to find a flaw with any of it including the beautiful packaging. I try to be fair because touch is one of the most subjective experiences so I try to avoid rating it on personal preference characteristics or for ways it wasn’t intended to be used. That being said, it is my opinion that this was made with the traditional definition of “throw” in mind, that it is primarily for interior design purposes as an accent piece and secondarily as a blanket, if that makes sense. Full disclosure I haven’t decided if I’m keeping it to serve its purpose as a couch blanket or end of the bed throw. I have a young child who is obsessed with soft blankets and it will probably be pulled down, dragged around, subjected to spills, and likely end up on the floor. Maybe I’ll give it as a gift to someone with kids already out of the house 😉 and the search is still ongoing for a sleeping blanket.

Great quality throw and it compliments our couch. I loved the price on it too because I caught it on sale.

Blanket is the best. Packaging could use a lot of improvements. It was triple wrapped in a plastic shipping bag that was difficult to open without cutting the blanket

Beautiful colors, plush, and quality combined to make a great throw at a fair price. I washed right away, and it was still soft.
