Great little chicken coop

This coop has some great attributes. It has wheels and there are three openings plus an airspace. The thing I don't like is the hen house still gets too hot. It seems to need better ventilation. The other flaw is baby chicks fall into the areas where the Tray slides in and can't get out the first day after the hatch. I wish I had 10 of these, to be honest. They are mobile and look nice. Pretty roomy.

Went together easily & looks great! Will spray it with a sealer this week to further longevity. A review will follow in about two months on useability for the chickens.

1) the pull out tray did not fit. I had to whittle away 1/4" of the frame so that the tray could slide in. 2) the wheels where a challenge to install so that they rolled properly. 3) The screws where too short for the screen top to secure to the screen sides.
Ok item but could of been labeled better for easier assembly

The problem I have with this product is that none of the parts were labeled other the packages of screws. So we had to go through and try to figure out which panel was which and then it was fine but would of been alot easier if they were labeled. Parts came in two boxes and boxes were light. The two boxes were delivered in the middle of my driveway when I arrived home I had to carry them to my house ??.
Not worth the money

The wheels don't turn and it does not roll around the yard. It leaks when it rains. We have to cover it in complete plastic when rain comes in. There are NOT 2 perching bars as advertised. There's one. Which is huge b/c that means it can only hold half the amount of chickens that it claims to.
Easy set up; highly recommend.

Great little coop! It is easy to set up and light enough to move easily. It fits two chickens and we have been using it as a portable coop to give them some "yard time". :) They love it. Half of it is covered which is a great idea. I would highly recommend this product. :)
Perfect for raising chicks.

Very nice coop. Not difficult to assemble. Labeling the wooden parts with small alphabetical stickers like the different screw packages were would be more helpful to customers and having pre-drilled holes in all the wooden parts would also. I installed a screen bottom to the coop to mitigate predator threat. Still a very nice coop.
Retrofitted to cat house

I bought this knowing it would be converted into an outdoor cat house with some simple modifications. I had an existing cat house already, but multiple cats like to use it at the same time and my original was too small. With cold weather in Ohio quickly approaching, I needed to take some shortcuts in building one from scratch- or ordering a custom one from someone else that would have taken weeks and cost twice as much. All of this was taken into consideration when ordering this chicken coop that was then retrofitted into a cat house- basically a starter kit and timesaver. The structure was simple to put together. Instructions were clear, all hardware was included, everything was pre drilled, and everything fit where it should. It took me probably 30 minutes to put together by myself. To make this more weather proof for Ohio winters, I did also caulk around the seams, and painted the whole structure. This will be stored on a covered porch- but again, Ohio winters... This will help ensure it is well protected and didn¡¯t take much time- plus then I could customize the colors. To make this more suited for cats, the following modifications were also done: Removed the door with the side hinge, and reduce the opening by adding trim pieces (to help prevent larger critters from getting in); added a dividing wall inside with another cutout (plywood); insulated all sides, top, bottom; added outdoor heating mats; added a side access door since they usually like an escape route. The end result looks nice and is functional. Whether you use this as a chicken coop or something else, I¡¯d still recommend at least caulking the seams to help prevent water from getting in. I¡¯ve had the cat house outside for 2 days and the outdoor cats have already been using it constantly. I feel confident that with the extra weatherproofing I did upfront, this should last for several seasons. Extremely easy to put together

Extremely easy to put together, though it does come fully disassembled. Took me, a single female, about 30 minutes. Great value for the money. Your chickens would have to have an additional run or free range, this is simply an overnight coop to protect them from predators/elements (and nesting boxes for them to lay eggs in during the day). Very easy to clean, though I put a hinge on the roof instead of nailing it down for easy access to clean. Someone was giving me ten chickens so I bought two of these but each night 8-9 chickens sleep in just one. They range in breed (and therefore size) but this coop definitely fits more than what I expected. Great buy! There are nine chickens in the coop in this photo - one in each nesting box and the. Seven in main body of coop.
Nicely made!

Good quality... Added a roost ladder inside and 2 inch square wire on whole bottom. Time will tell if it is totally fox proof.

The wheels are bleh, directions are weird for these and they are just kind of useless. Other than that, it wasnt too bad to put together. Fits one standard sized teen and one bantam teen, so hopefully my future chickens will be happy.

If you need a coop for a couple of months until a better one can be finished, then this product is worth it. I never write reviews but I went out of my way to find this product and warn other consumers. Anyone that knows anything about chickens would know that this is a horrible product. I don't mean that to be rude... I just want everyone to know what you are getting into. The instructions were confusing. The materials are thin. The staples are extremely short and not weather proof. Mine ended up with a shower curtain roof before I finished building the replacement. (Which is American made and awesome!) The hutch actually fell off and I had to install metal brackets. I could go on about the different features but I won't. Nothing worked. It simply isn't a good product. It sounds good... but some corners can't be cut.
Great and and chicken love it

O.K. First off I live in the Mountains of Northern Georgia where the winters can be a bit cold and damp and the summer humid. The first thing I did once I uncreated the Pen was paint it with a very good waterproofing sealant - this took about 9 days as it had to dry and the paint was oil based so had to wait for the smell to dissipate . It took me two days to put together (I am a 67 year old disabled Female Veteran) doing it by myself. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 was because some hardware was missing and I had to go to Ace Hardware and purchase woodscrews. This pen is well worth the money I paid. I have pictures but have no idea how to post them here. If you go slow and follow the pictorial directions - it is easy to put together. Wish I could have given it 5 stars.
