Summary of reviews
This dog house is a charming and practical solution for pet owners looking to provide a cozy space for their furry friends. Guests appreciate its easy assembly, sturdy design, and attractive appearance. The hinged roof allows for convenient access, while the raised floor offers protection from the elements. However, some guests noted concerns about its durability in harsh weather conditions, making it ideal for covered areas or indoor use.

I actually got this for an outdoor "cave" for the cats on the screen porch. They spend a lot of time on the roof lol, but they do seem to love it. My husband put it together and he used a few of his tools but it didn't take him very long. It is very well made with a hinged roof that opens if you need access. It is sold and stable but light enough to move around if you need to. The floor is raised so I am sure that is an advantage if you use it for a truly outside pet.

This was purchased less than 6 months ago! First windy day and the roof lifted open and ripped the entire side panel of the house off and they blew away! Very cheaply made. Save your money! Definitely not worth it!!

I ordered 2 of these! One for a screened in porch for new puppies (on cooler days) and one outside for warm weather¡ The instructions were all pictures but they were relatively easy to follow¡ the roof top on one was broken but not a big deal¡ I did have to re-drill a couple holes because they were not lined up but still ok! The hardest part was attaching the roof by myself because it was heavy¡ with two people it would have been a easy! My husband did come to see how I was doing (he says it¡¯s my puppy breeding thing lol) ! I have gotten lots of compliments and can¡¯t wait for another litter of golden doodles to really try it out ! For the price it more than met my expectations!
Lack of instructions

Would have given 5 stars but I had such a hard time with the instructions. All pics and no written instructions to tell you what you are looking at. This build was fairly involved at a intermediate building level. The pictures should have more detail. Two big mistakes I made I didn't find out was wrong until the end of the build. The 2 outside walls don't specify to put the extra wide end at the bottom. I thought I needed that on top to mount the roof to them. Well until one of the last steps it tells you to just slide the floor panels in without any kind of securement. It took me a minute to figure out the wide part needed to be at the bottom for the floor to slide in like a slot. Second was the divider wall inside. The holes don't meet up and found out with the floors that I needed to make it flush with the bottom as the middle support for the floor panels. I moved the middle panel down but added a couple 1x2's to the bottom for the floor panels to slide into because I had already mounted the roof and didn't want to remove it.
What a Lovely dog house, simple but strong!

Nice and easy to install. Though the design is a little simple comparing with the other, it is very strong and I keep it in my backyard all day long for my little Yorkie. On the whole, my Yorkie loves it. And always like to stay inside if we don¡¯t call him out.

This is a pretty dog house that is good enough to fit my 4 dogs (3 small and 1 medium size). It has a manual of step-by-step assembly. Light weight but sturdy. Great value for its cost....

The look and design is great. Now let's get down to the pros and cons. Pros: Great sale price (lowercase than competitors) and additional 13% off sale item. Top is able to open for cleaning and easier to put blankets or straw inside for bedding. Removable bottom racks are a plus. The panels are mostly all constructed, lightweight and easy to attach together. Clear plastic in the front entrances are actually pretty good and don't need to be replaced with more durable rubber. Cons: There should be two windows or none for air flow and look. I'm going to put a flap over the window that can open or lay over the window to keep warmth inside. That and water/rain falls into the window. Be careful screwing in leg caps. Screws want to split the wood. Roofing material will flake off when handling. It does repell water well though. One person can attach roof panels but waaaaay easier with two. The hinges on my panels were loose and I had to reattach them in different locations. Not happy that I had to modify a new product. The hinge that locks the roof panel out did not attach as the directions show. Lastly and most importantly, the instruction suck!!!!! They are not descriptive with key panels that you need to get right. Make sure the panels are right side up before screwing in anything.
Nice but could be tweaked a bit...

Cute as it can be, the instructions could be a bit clearer, though this non-mechanical person was able to put it together without any assistance until the roof was attached. It would be nice to have the middle partition (necessary for bottom trays) take up less interior room for bigger dogs. The window is very nice. Overall, a nice product.

so this house is very large and is very nice and looks really nice in the back yard, however the wood is a soft & cheap wood and as hubby was essembing this dog house he said I don't see this dog house holding up very long, I'm really disappointed with this because it wasn't cheap and its made very cheaply, I may just use this as a templet and build a new one..we are very disapponted
Pretty neat little cabin.

First, I just want to say the dogs love it. Shipping was weird. I got the second box 2 days after the first box. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to the holiday season. The instructions are ...not so good. Pictures only. Wasn’t terrible but a little explanation would save a lot of guess work. Out of the box the roof sections were crumpled in on the corners, probably from shipping, not really a big deal - still functional. The hinges on the roof aren’t big enough. When you go to screw them in, the screw holes on the hinge are placed right on the gap of the two pieces of wood - so the screw doesn’t grab enough of the frame to hold good. Although, it does hold. I don’t see it lasting. I’ll have to replace with a bigger hinge in the near future. The pitch of the roof is perfect, I was able to fit two 250 watt heat lamps with the dome and grill by using the clamps with the dome onto the partition in the middle of the house. It would be nice to have an option to have a side without a window and/or more of the plastic curtains to cover the window for the winter months. Overall, for the price and quality, lack of written instructions, I gave it 3 stars. I consider it worth it and my dogs are happy. Good buy compared to other products.
Could use better instructions but quality product.

This dog house is easier to assemble with 2 people and the instructions aren't very descriptive. Many of the areas aren't pre-drilled and requires calculating where panels should be attached. The design is attractive.

I love this house! My 3 15lb puppies eat their meals on the deck every day. They love chewing on the sides. The roof is very well made. I purchased a large.

We LOVE this dog house. It is seriously adorable. I have 2 Shelties - 1 is 23lbs and the other is a puppy currently at 13lbs. There is plenty of room for them inside and to veg on the deck. I did purchase the spray sealant and sprayed all of the wood. I was able to put the house together fairly quickly with the help of a 10 year old! The step is cute but very narrow so my dogs just step from the ground to the deck and not touch the step.

Very nice! Only problem was it had a very strong odor of glue or something for the first couple of weeks, but it dissipated and I no longer smell it.

Not bad, but. You will need some knowledge of woodwork cause the instructions are not clear on how to build it. Probably took me an hour and half to build it.
