Because this bag is one large open compartment, with no interior or exterior tie-downs, your stuff will settle to the wheel side, making it difficult to carry. (The too-long straps make it even worse.) And all that weight on one end causes the edge to drag, so wheeling it down the sidewalk is a challenge.

Due to flexibility it does bend out the “bottom” of the bag, if you stuff the bag to max, so it’s a little weird trying to stand it on its feet, and it will tip over. You can always pack or fold on that side of the bag to provide better “support”, because I wouldn’t give up on the space this bag still provides.

The small backpacks are never enough to carry all the things I need for even small trips, and I usually end up having to lug multiple around. The big suitcases on the other hand are definitely overkill. I love this bag because it is the perfect size for small trips and it rolls! It's quite spacious and I love all the pockets, it's very satisfying to be able to organize all my things nicely. The material does feel quite sturdy so I'm hoping it will last me for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Olympia 22" 8-Pocket Rolling Duffel for a couple of months now, and have actually taken it on a couple of trips. One on a river cruise in Europe, and another to Mexico, and it's held up very well. It's right at the max of carry on-size, so it worked well for us. The inside is quite roomy, as we were able to pack quite a bit of clothes in there. The pockets were great too, as we were able to keep separate all the different paperwork for where we were going, as well as our passports, and our different vitamins we take with us and want to get at while actually in transit. The bag seems well constructed, and the fabric it is made of seems pretty durable. The wheels rolled without any issue, and there's a little zipper area where you can hide the handle from showing. The top of the bag opens up into a huge U shape so you can get at anything inside. We actually just lived out of the bag for a couple of nights at the end of one of our trips, as it was easy to get at everything. I got a blue bag, but they have 8 colors, so pick one you like. I can definitely recommend this duffel if you want one that will also work as a carry-on on most airlines. Or check it, it seems like it will hold up well.

The polyester material is very sturdy and durable. I have filled it full, the zippers are a nylon tooth closure with a good size cloth pull on them. There are often times when we need to pack enough stuff to fill a suitcase however we don't want to have to store the suitcase. With the Olympia Rolling Duffel Bag, you get the best of both worlds! Plenty of space, easy to roll around, and folds flat when it's empty. We probably won't use it for air travel but it will get plenty of use of road trips!

I like that the main zipper is U-shaped and on top of the bag so it is easier to organize stuff in it. This is small enough for taking on a plane in an overhead bin.

The handled slides up easily, and can be folded back down and zipped into it's enclosure when not needed. I love the way it look, very eye catching and I think would be easy to find when retrieving luggage off the carousel at baggage claim. Not sure that it would meet measurement standards for carry on luggage... guess it depends on the specific measurements of airlines. We've used it for weekend travel while driving, and it fits everything we need. Comes with a limited 5 year warranty.
