Alex Buffalo Check Plaid Printed Quilt Set - Serta

I bought this set because reviews called it antimicrobial and I have a son who often pees through his pull-up. When the bedding arrived, nowhere on the packaging did it say antimicrobial. *sigh* I kept it because antimicrobial or not, we needed new bedding that didn’t smell like pee. Unfortunately, the blanket is not cozy, instead, it’s pretty stiff, like cardboard. At least it’s cute, or it would be except that after the first wash, it was significantly faded compared to the second set that’s on his brother’s bed. I guess I’ll just keep flip flopping the bedding so the fades stay similar for aesthetics. I added a photo of the washed bedding compared to a square of the unwashed one. If you like stiff, faded bedding that fades when it’s washed and does nothing to prevent bacteria growth, this set is for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is absolutely beautiful. I'm not even a fan of red but the red and black checkered pattern just pops. The material is so soft it's almost silky feeling. I do have to say even with the ac on right now it is to warm for summer. But come winter I'm gonna be so snuggly and warm. It seems very well made, went through the washer and dryer just fine, no shifting or bunching of batting. All the seams seem to have held well. But the softness is just outstanding, I've been using it even though it makes me hot because it feels so good against my skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material that the comforter is made of is so soft. It is like covering up with a cloud! It is not too thick that you want to rip it off. The color did not fade after washing and the material held up. The full sized set came with the comforter and 3 pillowcases. Great set for a camper or a cabin. Definitely will be buying a few more sets for our cabin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Serta Simply Clean Alex Buffalo Check Plaid Antimicrobial 3-Piece Comforter Set to use for my queen sized bed. When I received the comforter the first thing I noticed was the bright red and black checkered print. It reminded me so much of the holidays or being in a log cabin in the mountains. The material of the comforter and shams are very soft and when I spread the comforter out there wasn’t a wrinkle in sight-which I thought was pretty amazing. I first washed and dried the set according to it’s instructions on the tag and placed it on my bed. It fit perfectly and maintained it’s shape without wrinkling. The first night I slept like a baby; I wasn’t too cold nor too hot. The comforter isn’t very heavy so you could easily use it year-round. I also like that it is hypo-allergenic, stain and wrinkle resistant and antimicrobial. I have a Great Dane who loves to sleep on my bed and having these features in a comforter is a must. Overall, I am really glad I got to try this set. I have gotten a much better quality of sleep and it looks so cozy and inviting! I would definitely recommend this brand if you are looking for a Antimicrobial comforter set.

In a great check plaid, this bedspread fits very well on even our deep mattress. The colors are bright and the design is perfect for cabins, holidays, and more. Easy to wash, this makes a great guest room bedspread as well. We love the cabin aesthetic and it’s lightweight feeling. It’s great for year round!

It would be great for the winter months but it’s a little to Christmas-y for my to use throughout the year. Definitely love it but I feel it’s more seasonal than for year round use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Serta simply clean Alex Buffalo Plaid Antimicrobial comforter set this week in red and black. The comforter is very lightweight, and very soft. Almost feels like a microfiber type of material. Very plush, but not at all overfilled. Will not be too hot for summer use. The set contained a comforter and two shams. Comforter size is 90 in by 90 in. The set is antimicrobial, and machine washable-which is a must for me because we have indoor pets. The color is a beautiful red and black Buffalo plaid, which will be perfect for fall and winter. It is well made, does not look or feel cheap. The only downside for me was that it didn’t fit my queen size mattress well, as it is a thicker mattress.

I'm planning on painting his room with red stripes instead of the orange we originally did. My son loves this comforter set and it'll last the whole year. For winter I'll get some matching holiday sheets. Great buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The serta simply comfort bedding set is by far the most amazing bed set I have owned in a very long time let me start with it's packaging it comes in a zipper quilt bag folded very nicely and you can reuse the quilt bag for storing your bedding after washing it witch is great because it's very well made after opening the quilt set I always like to smell it because some can have bad orders from setting in the quilt bag but not this quilt set it had no oder at all so that is a plus the first thing I did was give it a quick wash so I could put the set on the bed and it washed up nice I followed all the directions and it came out great I washed on a cold gentle cycle with other clothes and there was no color bleeding from the quilt onto any of my other items so that is always a plus then I placed the quilt set in the dryer on a low tumble dry with other clothes and again no bleeding if color it came out smelling good and super soft so it was time to put the bed together with the new quilt set everything fit nicely and as it should it was a perfect fit I got the full/queen size set and it fit my queen bed wonderfully the quilt it's self is light weight and I like that because you can use it for any season it's not to thin and it's not to thick it's just right it keeps your body a very good temperature and doesn't make you sweat and it's not heavy so you don't feel trapped or held down like some other quilt sets I have a few of my favorite thing about this quilt set that make it a new go to quilt set for my family is the fact that it is antimicrobial treated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and other oder causing microbes I also love that it is stain resistant because I have children who like to set on the bed with food an drinks so I won't have to worried so much now when they spill something I can just give the quilt a quick wash I also love that this quilt set is hypoallergenic that is also a big plus for our family and let me not forget the fact that it's wrinkle resistant so you don't have to worry if you put in in the dryer and forget to take it out right away it will still be nice an wrinkle free and ready to go back into the bed I have gotten alot of questions about the style and were I got it from because I have a few family members wanting the same set I have so needless to say I will buying a few more sets as gifts for Christmas this year and birthday gifts this is a must have if your looking for a great quilt set to last for many years that is an all season quilt set this set is for you

I got this for our camper as it matches my décor and it got pretty chilly at night but we didn't need to turn the heat on because this thing kept us very warm! I love the look and quality of both the pillowcases and comforter. My new favorite camping bedding!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teenage son is obsessed with everything plaid so this Serta Simply Comfort Alex Buffalo Check Plaid 3 piece quilt set was perfect for his bedroom! The 3 piece quilt set comes with a full/queen quilt and 2 full/queen size pillow shams. All fit perfectly on his full size bed! The quilt is very lightweight making it perfect for all seasons. He does prefer to have a light sheet under the quilt as the material isn't as "soft" as he prefers it. But he loves the quilt style and design so the sheet helps greatly. All pieces wash and dry very well. So far I have not found any loose strings or any piling from the fabric. This set would be perfect for any plaid loving teenager or winter cabin!

It's is fairly thick for a quilt but not like sweaty thick like some blankets can be. It seems to be durable and very comfortable. It also has two pillow shams that are thicker on top and regular pillow material on back. It really hasn't made a difference in sweat factor. I think that adds comfort to the pillow. And also helps keep the pillow cleaner because it's covers the whole pillow instead of just three sides like a typical pillowcase. I'm going to look for different colors to build up my blanket and pillowcase collection.

I just love the colors which are some of her favorite colors and easy to mix and match with different color sheets and pillow cases if you have more then two pillows. I highly recommend
