The feral cat's think the outside bottom door should be an entrance......... I keep shoving them in and showing them in the hopes they learn soon ! Also they don't like the plastic door opening, but I do !! I thought it was insulated, so I put some styrofoam on the upper level and when our winds die down I will go out and remove it, it keeps them from wanting to go in. I love the shelter, it is gorgeous and have had many people ask where I got it so I posted it on Facebook. Hope you get more orders !!!

We have four feral cats we feed daily, and we thought the house might keep them comfortable during the upcoming winter. The house is made beautifully, easy to assemble by a single person, and it came with all the parts and screws it was supposed to come with. Recommend using a driver drill and a mallet to assemble. The only negative is that, despite the product description saying it's water resistant, the wood seems untreated and unfinished. If you put this thing outside without sanding and spraying, I think the elements would wear it down in a few years. Anyway, I customized mine with carpet squares inside for additional comfort. So now it's got different levels, with steps, all carpeted with pillows. You know, like ancient Egypt.

Received the order in reasonable time so was happy about that. The unit is nicely made, although it would have been good if it was treated for outdoor use. The outside sitting porches are particle board, so will have to treat them for outdoor use.
Impressive

There were a lot of parts. Assembly took a couple of hours. We have three cats. They seem to like it and all fit.
Nice configuration

I gave a four for weather proof because some parts are partical board. Mine is for a carport so not a worry for me. Hoping my out door cats enjoy it this winter.

This is a good product, a little complicated for assembling, but it's ok, we insulated it all for the winter and will see how resistant it is after the winter season.
Even better than I expected

I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The pieces are very sturdy and well-crafted. The instructions were easy to follow. This thing is so sturdy! My neighbors dog was distracted by a squirrel and when she ran after it, her leash caught on one of the legs of the Cat House and it rolled end over end down the driveway. NOT A SCRATCH on it!!
Good basic house

I made several improvements and adjustments to this house to suit my own ferals needs. I live in the Midwest for Winters can be pretty harsh so each panel, before I put it together, received two layers of carpeting as insulation. I also opted to keep the top side door on the bottom escape hatch and blocked off the other door and used both weatherproofing flaps on the side door so it's double layer. I wish sometimes the manufacturers of these type of houses would put some sort of handles on each side because you can't pick it up from the roof, and you have to bend down and pick it up from the bottom, speaking bulky can just use handles on the side which would be better but overall it was a good basic house to start critiquing for my ferals needs
Looks great - we'll see how it holds up!

First off; when it arrived, everything was intact and no broken parts (good). The wood is very thin - think model airplanes. But it did assemble easily. I bought the natural wood cat condo and painted it black and white and left some natural wood exposed for accent. We did insulate it with heat reflective insulation (home depot) and taped edges using hvac heat proof tape. We will be installing a hound heater on the bottom floor. We also carpeted the floors - both levels. We do get cold here during the winter (Washington State) so the heater is a must. I do hope it will last a couple years - but for the price, I don't think I could have built it for the same amount. I give it an all around 4 stars, but ended up spending another $75 to insulate and paint.

My feral kitty loves her new home! She is a bit skittish, so I worried about her liking/using her new home. It took her awhile, but she's using it!!

Super cute but you need two people to put it together or at least I did. I wish the wood was stronger and thicker so I didn¡¯t give 5 stars but very much deserves 4 stars.
I recommend you get a drill to set some guide holes for the screws.

I was impressed by how accurate the measurements and angles were; everything fit together very smoothly. My issue was the terrible materials and the terrible shape the pieces were in. Several pieces were broken, many were scuffed, there were drips of what I assume are glue/adhesive all over several pieces of the house. Considering the intent of the structure is for it to be outside (not how I'm planning to use it), the materials are not sufficient. This is unimpressive as a purchase. We built the thing and will see how it goes. Cat 1 likes it so far.

Smaller than anticipated. Not optimal for larger breed cats and wish the bottom level had two? entrances.

Went together fairly easily. Only issue was with one screw not aligning well with one of the side shelves. I had to back it out and try again. I only had to place the cat in it a couple of times before she found the heat pad I also placed in it and now she can be found sleeping in it every morning. I have it under a covered porch and cannot speak to how well it would work completely in the open, nor to how warm it would be without adding the heat pad. Completely satisfied with my current setup.
Holes aren't lined up.

The wood definitely splinters when screws don't go in straight. Holes aren't exactly lined up. I used a regular screwdriver because I feel like it may have ruined the wood had I used my electric. It is really cute. One of my outdoor cats uses the roof, ledges, and second floor. The other cat doesn't like the house. It may change when it gets colder. Neither are fat cats. One is about a year old and the one who doesn't like it is 3 or 4 years old. They are both 100% outdoor cats (until it gets cold enough to bring them into the garage).I assembled it with little grumbling in under a few hours with a regular screwdriver. Husfriend helped at one point. Picture directions aren't the most helpful.
