A: The label says blot liquid spills with a cloth and for hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended. As it's 80% wool and 20% cotton; I would not put in a washing machine.

Air the rug out first in a clean, well-ventilated area, like a porch for a few days (a garage is not recommended unless the windows or the doors are open) b. Turn on the air conditioner or place fans within the space where the carpet is located and keep the windows and doors open. This way will help enhance the flow of air in and out of the space. c. If you have an air-ventilation system (ducts that exchange indoor for outdoor air) keep this running for at least 48 hours after the rug is installed. You can run it for more if the odor is still present. d. Vacuum the rug

A: The Natura Hand Woven Area Rug should not shed as long as proper care instructions are followed. Vacuuming the rug, and underneath the rug, is the easiest way to remove debris. In the case of a stain, natural fiber rugs can be scrubbed with a soft brush, but avoid getting these rugs too wet, as water can weaken the fibers over time.

Really thick and comfy, but the light gray/ivory is significantly darker than the picture. For reference in my pictures, I posted the floors are dark gray hardwood. The rug next to the Safavieh is what I consider Ivory. Definitely need a rug gripper, super slippery

Love this rug, so soft to walk on. My only complaint is that I got one where there is a visible line that shows and I thought it would fix itself after time but has not. It looks like a line of material is missing.

Here are a few suggestions you may want to consider for reducing the creases, waves, wrinkles, and or kinks: 1. Back rolling or reverse rolling the rug - Unroll the carpet and roll it up again in the opposite direction. To keep it secure, place heavy furniture on the rug while back-rolled/reverse-rolled to keep it from unraveling. (Leave it back rolled for 1-3 days). 2. Refer to our video on how to unpack, unroll, straighten and flatten your new rug -How to Straighten an Area Rug - Safavieh- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A4L4pCNS5U 3. Refer to our additional video on how to remove creases - How to Remove Creases from Indoor-Outdoor Rugs. 4. Use indoor rug/carpet tape- tape down the corners of the rug to secure and flatten the ends of your rug. 5. For folded corners, the best thing to do is to fold the corners under and let them rest for several days. 6. Place the rug on a hard flat floor instead of a carpet while it relaxes. 7. Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and sliding – Rug Pads. 8. Use a rug gripper for hardwood flooring. 9. Vacuum the rug where the creases are located. 10. Simply allow ample time for your rug to settle. In most cases, all you need to do is lay your Safavieh rug flat, and the waves/wrinkles/creases will even themselves out. 11. Use indoor double-sided carpet tape to tape down the rug to secure and flatten the ends of your rug (This will prevent bunching and buckling). o You want to run the tape along the perimeter and put an X through the middle of the rug from corner to corner this will secure the rug. *These creases/waves/bumps/wrinkles/kinks will normally flatten out on their own so in most cases, you can simply allow ample time for your rug or runner to settle. Be patient and let those kinks work themselves out.

Since getting this rug 6 months ago, we have received so many compliments from men and women and all age groups. Its a very neutral color (we chose the multi) but feels fresh and updated. Its something I would buy over and over. One caveat, it does shed for a while. Just plan for that and no regrets!

This rug is unique in the way it is made. There are like little buttons of wool all woven one next to the other. Most unusual. It's like a foot massage as you walk on it. The other aspect of this rug is the grey colors are must darker than shown in the photos. They stand out. This can be a good thing, as it won't show dirt as easily. For my color scheme, the darkness does not work. Why can't the pics be realistic? I do not understand. Back it goes.
