The foot rests are in a good spot. I got them in black, and they came completely un-dented and without a scratch. The seats have a woodgrain feel. The feet have rubber bits on the bottom. The bolts are regular silver but don't stand out excessively from the black. Totally in love with these.

It comes with a simple to understand manual and no additional hardware is required - all the required parts and tools come along. While the assembly is not difficult, the holes in one leg did not align which consumed some additional time. It comes with legs pads which avoids scuffed floors. Overall a very classy and study product!

It also wanted you to have a screwdriver handy, but there was no need for it, which was really confusing.
