Nuloom Crissy Crosshatch Shag Wool Area Rug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleased with purchase. Rug looks great in my living room and the color is perfect. Also very soft and thick. Probably didn’t need a rug pad but I bought one anyway.

This is a gorgeous rug but upon arrival, it immediately made my entire home smell musty and like harsh chemicals had been used on it. Once I unwrapped and placed the rug down, within the hour my entire body broke out in hives and I had a horrible allergic skin reaction. Unaware it was the rug at the time, I dealt with the smell and itchiness for the next week until I removed the rug. Upon touching the rug for removals, the hives came back tenfold and that's when I realized it's what had caused the reaction. It's been 2 weeks since returning the rug and I've had to Lysol my floors, air, wash all of my clothes that were in the room, and scrub every surface and my body is finally returning back to normal. I would never share a negative comment unless it were to effect someone medically. If you have sensitive skin, please read and consider before purchasing. It's been a challenge to clear my home of the particles and smell even after removing the rug.

It was love at first sight, they are beautiful, lovely feel, tons of compliments, but . . . they are NOT high traffic! I have them in my entire house, high and low traffic areas, in low traffic they still look great after 7 months, but in high traffic area, performance is substandard, the wool mats down even with regular vacuuming. The low traffic areas will last a long time, but the family room high traffic area will need to be replaced within the year.

Cute but so itchy and sheds a ton. If you sit on the rug, when you stand up you’ve got shedding all over! Unfortunately going back

Rug is beautiful, and we didn’t have issues with shedding like others have. We are returning it, though, because the colors look a bit different in person. The white cross-hatching looks comparatively beige in real life, and the background color is closer to the color or sand than it is to a more pigmented jute color. We have a white marble coffee table and the entire rug looked very yellow underneath it.
