I've always had a tough time as a thin framed guy or "hard gainer" with muscle development. I decided to give this supplement a shot since I'm a big fan of Pulse. I actually use this one with Energy Surge for it's caffeine. I find the two provide what I need to keep going late in the day, and find the Performance Surge effects sustaining my alertness hours after ingestion. I will say I am personally not a fan of the unflavored mixes (in comparison to say Pulse), but some may prefer the unsweetened options.
