hauck Alpha+ Grow Along Wooden High Chair Seat

I've been using this chair with my child for two months and I'm at a breaking point. The positioning is terrible and he always ends up with his butt sliding forward so that he is reclined. We've tried with a tray, without, with a cushion, and nothing is working.

This high chair was purchased for us from our registry. Although we didn’t spend our own funds on it, I was still included to share our thoughts in order to help other parents. The high chair seems to be well made, sturdy and is certainly less of an eyesore in our dining room than many of the other options out there. However, the back of the high chair is reclined at a decent angle which ultimately causes a choking hazard. Over the past several months of starting solids with our baby we have had to prop towels behind her in order to get her into an upright position. To be clear, she is normally able to sit up fully on her own - this is a flaw in the design of the chair. I now know that babies should always be at 90/90 when eating and that is impossible in this high chair without modification. I don’t know how this high chair is on the market. I could never recommend that anyone purchase for their baby, though it is possible it would work better for an older child. I have never written a review before but felt this info was too important not to share. We now have the mockingbird high chair and highly recommend.

Addon tray has no manual for customer to know how to install, and installing an addon requires a full disassembly to install. Would not recommend for such an incomplete care of the product

Didn't receive the tray table with the high chair. It clearly states it comes with one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the design of this high chair but I thought it would come with the tray but it didn't in my opinion I like when you can get all the items in one box that makes it easier but anyway my son no longer uses a tray because he started eating at the table and this chair is the perfect complement to make him comfortable during mealtime! The quality is good and durable!

I also like that the chair isn’t wide and can fit at my breakfast nook. I did wish that the eating tray came with the high hair but, my daughter seems to like the high chair without the tray.

Switching between heights does require loosening one side of screws; not to painful but not plug n play. The strength of the chair did start to feel flimsy when a 10 ur old weighing 80 lbs sat on it. Overall, happy and would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited to have this highchair! My husband and I assembled it together in about 25 minutes. The directions were pretty easy to follow. I really like that this chair will grow with my baby as he grows into a toddler and child. It has a classic look to it that does not stand out like the typical baby product and fits in with my decor. I like that I can pull him right up to the table and we can eat as a family. It feels solid and well made. I like that it has a built in harness. I look forward to using this chair for years to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the construction of this high chair is great. The finish is beautiful and the wood seems to be very good quality. It was not too difficult to assemble and I was able to do it by myself. It’s a little heavier than I prefer so moving it around can be a pain. I do agree with others in that I’m not sure this chair is the best for all age groups. It seems like it needs more adjusting to be able to accommodate all ages. For example, being able to reach the foot plate is a concern. I can see why those with older kiddos feel this chair is not the best for them. I also felt like the harness doesn’t adjust tight enough for kiddos <1 year old. I do not own any of the accessories for this nor have I looked into what is offered. Maybe there is a fix for this and I am not aware. I might also not be using the harness correctly? Considering those issues, this does seem like a good alternative to the Tripp Trapp chair.
