I am more of a "purist" on BBQ sauce, with influences from Texas beef to traditional Carolina recipes for pork and chicken. My wife and mother-in-law prefer a sweeter sauce, especially on smoked pork ribs than I like, but you have to know the audience. Their preferences lean toward "Sweet Baby Ray's" commercial sauce that I think is terrible. This sauce hits the common ground! Not a traditional Memphis sauce, but shoots the gap between an overpowering candy and a Carolina twang. It is sweet, but for me not crazy, with a nice taste that doesn't overwhelm the ribs! If used in moderation, it compliments smoked items without killing the star of the show! Looking forward to testing out a few other offerings, but this hickory flavor has been a winner on baby-back ribs when added very late in the smoke...

Great BBQ sauce! I received some as a gift and then bought more. I smoke a lot of meat and this stuff really compliments my work. I only wish that I'd found it sooner.
